Sin el peso externo, Paul es capaz de darse la vuelta y observar la habitación. Hace calor pero la mayoría no baila, están simplemente observando a la pareja en el centro. La luz es azulada, casi parece un reflejo del mar. Y entonces, a punto de torcerse el cuello por el cambio repentino de posición, lo ve. Es como un ángel, una criatura del bosque, el Puck travieso del sueño de una noche de verano, enredando a los presentes con su movimiento grácil.

Days had passed since they returned from Ravka and Jesper was still, embarrassingly infatuated with Wylan. He couldn't stop touching him, even in the small moments they left their sacred shelter to prepare things for Kaz. The displays of affection were much more grandious and mature in their solitude, but they also talked before, and after, small voices melting quietly in the dense air result of their love making, bed perpetually unmade, hair messy and clothes creased, becoming a mess on the floor or their bodies.
That took them to a very precise moment, when Jesper couldn't bare Wylan's sadness talking about how Ketterdam was less than a home for him.

Or it would be, if not for the fact that there seems to be more to Wylan Van Eck than meets the eye, and Jesper can’t help but be intrigued—and maybe a bit charmed, too.
