She didn't listen, she was unresponsive, she argued, she fought, she hurt the other children. But a file was only a cluster of words. Bucky and Steve know better, and find that Natasha, whilst surly and confusing, is nothing like her file, and bring her out of her shell and into their family.

She lands in a filthy back alley in D.C., right into the path of the Winter Soldier immediately post the Fall of SHIELD.
Lucy is pretty sure he kidnapped her. But, with nothing in her old world to return to, and dangerously curious about her metal-armed captor, she decides she doesn’t really mind that much. A funny way to meet the love of your life, but since when are matters of the heart ever what we expect? Especially with him being a brainwashed, ex-soviet assassin and her being… her.

JJ finally makes it to her seat and leans her head back to catch her breath. Her mind wanders to the stunning woman that had given her the greatest weekend of her life and the way her dark hair so elegantly fanned out across the stark white of the hotel room pillow. She feels a pang of regret for leaving without saying "goodbye", but knows it was for the best. When the plane takes off to take her back to DC, she finally lets it hit her that she may never see her again. JJ jams the heels of her hands into her eyes to stop the tears that are so desperate to fall. Worried that she may be making a scene to the people sitting next to her, JJ takes a deep breath and drags her hands down her face and feels something hard rub against her cheek. JJ's eyes go wide as they fall on a delicate gold band sitting comfortable on the third finger of her left hand.

“Tell me you want this,” he whispers hoarsely, his eyes boring into hers. It's not a question of consent, it's another command, and she can't help but agree yet again.

She inhales deeply. “Yes.”
“Say it,” he urges. “Tell me what you want.”
“I... I want...” she starts, chewing on her lip, averting her eyes, her cheeks burning up in embarrassment. “I...” Her mouth feels dry. “I want you to... to...” She swallows thickly. “...to sleep with me...”
His laugh sounds almost mocking. She looks up with her eyebrows furrowed, her lips pursed, discomfort written all over her face. “So fucking innocent,” he mutters, shaking his head, amusement making his lips twitch. “Say you want me to fuck you. Come on, use big girl words, baby.”
