Oh. Well. That was pretty definitively a thing that people said about partners who were together romantically.
“Say something,” Buck instructed.
“What?”
“Anything,” Buck said, his voice wavering on the word. Which was—it was weird, right? Why was Buck so shaken by a throwaway comment?
Or maybe the better question was why wasn’t Eddie? If either of them was going to get freaked out by the assumption that he was dating a man, it would make more sense for it to be Eddie, who was straight, and not Buck, who had, in fact, already dated men.
“Aren’t you going to be late for your shift?”

"I wont let him know. He'll know hes loved by at least us, I swear," she whispered and Daniel leaned over shakily, kissing the small red mark on Evan's forehead.
"I'll always protect you, Eve. I promise," Daniel whispered, Maddie dropping her head down.

When Daniel died, their grandmother's inheritance went to the next eligible male in the family, which was a cousin. But when Buck finds out about Daniel when he's 28, he's also contacted by his grandmother to let him know that cousin passed before he turned 30 so Buck is next in line to inherit.

But it's been a while since the infamous lawsuit and things aren't getting any better. So when the opportunity presents itself for Buck to play again he jumps at it. When things get even worse with the 118 Buck finishes writing and preforms an original song. It's not his fault he didn't notice his once family in the crowd until it's too late. After that everyone tries to fix what's broken, but some things are easier to fix than others and Buck's never had an easy life.

El Paso certainly has nothing to offer beyond disappointed sighs and disapproving glares from her parents. And so she gets in her tiny, wheezing silver Nissan and heads west toward Los Angeles.
Or; Adriana Diaz arrives at Eddie's door one summer afternoon and finds her brother co-parenting two children with his best friend. She flounders around in search of purpose, friends, and maybe some way to save her brother from his own obliviousness.
