Summary

“You seem too friendly to be a stray. Do you have a home?” A meow. Lino slowly laid down, all his paws still firmly on the ground in case he needed to run. The person looked up at the movement, eyes finding Lino quickly. “Awe, a friend of yours?” the human turned back to Yongbok like he could reply before looking back at Lino. “And you’re missing part of your ear. Did you get in a fight?” When Lino didn’t react to the human, he simply went back to paying attention to Yongbok.

Suguru has stopped just behind him, instead of continuing on to his own room.
“Are you…okay?” He sounds hesitant, as if he isn’t really sure what to say.
Satoru looks up from where his hand is reaching out, fighting to keep his eyes open as he turns slightly to where Suguru is standing. “Yeah? I’m fine.”
“Are you…sure? You just look like you’re…going to fall over or something.”
He’s right of course, Satoru wants nothing more than to be horizontal at the moment, but why does he care how Satoru feels right now? When has he ever cared? They’ve never been openly hostile to each other, but they’ve also never been more than classmates, who don’t bother with talking about anything other than school or training or petty arguments about who ate all the chips in the kitchen. (The shared kitchen, Satoru argued. If you don’t want other people to eat your food then don’t put it somewhere that they could get to it.)

Summary
Katsuki still hates Deku, sometimes.
He's not sure if it's a leftover effect of hero training and work or just the overflow of Deku's original nature, but the split second movement beats even Katsuki's reaction time. The man trips, body tipping, and then a growth from his head swings out at Katsuki.
Deku sticks his hand in the way.
The heat of it stings Katsuki's stomach, a fire that won't go out. Deku thinks he's a great hero, hah? But it isn't enough just to take the hit—you have to win afterwards too.
Now Deku is kneeling, not moving, while the villain holds some kind of lazer contraption to his head. And whatever he was trying to stop is about to happen to Katsuki anyway.

Sugimoto opens up a pocket at the top of his briefcase. In it, are two clear plastic bags, clearly marked and labeled in red and black ink. Evidence bags.
Sugimoto pulls them out and what little breath Shouta still has is forced from his lungs.
One of the bags holds a familiar red sneaker, scuffed at the edges with the dirt and grime of the walking trails around UA. A dark scrape runs along the side where its owner has a habit of rubbing it along the legs of his desk when he thinks too much. The other holds a pair of metal-rimmed glasses. The lenses are cracked along the side, but Shouta can still make out the typewriter straight kanji across the frame that bear its owner’s name.

Summary
Dropping the edge of his shirt, letting the fabric cover his ribs and hide the mottled bruises from view, Katsuki decides, “I’m fucked.” That admittance forces a laugh out of him, dry and humorless and ringing hollowly through his empty room. He’s alone, both literally and figuratively. It's not as if he could tell anybody. He couldn’t even tell his parents, because his mother would just find some way to make it his fault, and his father would agree with her because that’s all he ever did.
Katsuki repeats, “I’m fucked,” and laughs again, louder, like it's funny. Like all of this - the ache of his chest and the pain that flares through it with every breath he takes - is nothing but one big joke, and he’s the punchline.
That’s all he feels like, anymore.

There are some injuries that you just can’t walk off. Unfortunately, this is a lesson that Katsuki learns the hard way.

He takes in a heavy breath and pretends these cheap sunglasses hide his dark circles as they wheel the poor kid in.
"Hey," Gojo rasps. "Miss me?"
Megumi's eyes go wide in horror. His jaw hangs slightly agape. He's breathing too fast. He doesn't say a word.
“Fushiguro?” Yuji's hand hovers over his shoulder. Megumi smacks it away harshly.
He trembles as he gets to his feet, then trips unceremoniously toward the foot of Gojo's hospital bed. Satoru instinctively reaches out to catch him, but he's too slow in his sewn-up state, and Yuta gets there first.
There's tears running down the kid's face. Guilt is a weighty boulder between the two of them.
Megumi claps his shaking hand over his mouth, but he can’t contain an emotional dry heave. Yuta escorts him to the trashcan so he can sob and vomit freely in terror.
Gojo sits there stupidly, unable to do anything else.

Gojo lives to pick up the pieces of Megumi. And there's a lot to pick up.
