    ‘For the love of God, Andrew, put that down before you hurt someone.’ The coach of the Palmetto Foxes sighed heavily sending his most defiant player a murderous glare.
    ‘You’re no fun, Coach.’ The blonde, who was currently vigorously swinging an Exy racquet in the air, grinned back.
    ‘If only you had as much energy when we practiced, you -’
    ‘Aren’t you tired of repeating yourself, Kevin? Or do you just like to listen to yourself speak so much?’ Andrew interrupted the dark haired man who was standing in a safe distance leaning against the wall looking through a pile of files. A shame. Andrew thought, taking another swing with the too light striker racquet. A shame, that I can’t smash that stupid face. By accident, of course.

    Andrew Minyard is a successful journalist, writing hit pieces to take down and uncover decay in big institutions. When he starts looking into the mysterious disappearance of Mary and Nathaniel Wesninski, that all disappears. Suddenly, he finds himself blacklisted in his line of work. Unable to move forward with the piece, he finds a platform with The Foxhole Network, the communications department at his Alama Mater. With the help of the TFN team, he puts together a podcast and goes on the hunt for Mary and Nathaniel, following leads sent by their listeners and connecting dots that hadn't bothered to be connected before.

    Neil Josten has stayed in the same place for far too long. He knows this, but he's grown comfortable. That is until he hears a deep voice through a set of speakers - a podcast host asking the question he didn't want to be answered most: What happened to Mary and Nathaniel? After Emperor Vaisra prevented women from attending Sinegard, Rin was left with no choice but to look for another way to escape arranged marriage at the age of 14.

    Finding her savior in Tutor Feyrik, she'd been able to make a name for herself as a fighter and to keep her foster mother happy (and rich) enough to keep Rin around.

    But everything is about to change as Emperor Vaisra announces The Selection for his now heir to the throne, Yin Nezha. It's an opportunity for women to compete for the prince's hand from across the empire, but Rin vehemently opposes the whole idea.

    As fate would have it, she gets thrown into that same world she tried to avoid, her days now filled with civil unrest, secrecy, a strange growing power, and growing feelings for a certain infuriating prince.
