“She looks a lot like Mel.”
“Oh, really? That’s — well, Mel is beautiful. She’s — yeah,” he stutters. “So, that’s good then.”
He nods a few times, trying to convince himself this really is good, and a not fucking sign from the universe that everything leads back to Mel for him.
“I just have to say it. Frank, she is Mel.”
“Fuck,” he says and walks up the steps to window to see for himself.
She’s there, sitting at a table by herself and looking like a dream with her hair loose and an oversized sweater on that he has the urge to put his hands under.
“Fuck,” he repeats. “How the fuck did this happen?”

Summary
Her thoughts are as follows: If Subject A (Mel) shows signs of discomfort, Subject B (Frank) will try to help, and vice versa. Therefore, if A is in need of a replacement for an article of clothing, B will do his best to provide A with one.
It’s shaky logic, all things considered, but it’s enough.
All that’s left is for Mel to put her hypothesis to the test.
Or: Mel can’t stop stealing Frank’s clothes. It’s becoming quite the problem.

So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.

Summary
Unspooling, in which adoptive siblings Jyn Erso and Bohdi Rook are slowly reintroduced to normal.
Cassian does not like his new neighbor. She’s a pain in the ass. His new neighbor doesn’t want any attachments other than her brother. She wants food, heat, and to be left alone. So why do they keep thinking about each other so much?
Luke does not know what to make of this Bohdi guy, and he wants to figure him out. Bohdi just wants to stop feeling lost in time.
Adoptive siblings Jyn and Bohdi are close and devoted to each other, and so tired of running and hiding. They need help but don’t know where to begin.
The story is mainly about Jyn and Cassian, though Jyn and Bohdi’s relationship as siblings is heavily featured and their circumstances are what drive the plot.
This takes place in a non-descript Northeastern American Coastal city, and COVID isn’t featured in the story. I’m pretending it takes place a few years in the future but essentially now.
The climax is up, everything is mostly resolved. It’s also not 120,000+ words of being enemies and not getting together, they get together earlier in the story.
This story turned out to be longer than I intended or expected.

Summary
Jyn is finding her place in the Rebellion. The pathfinder missions, fighting, and explosions she gets. Her new friendship with an actual royal princess, who has no qualms about dragging Jyn into her schemes, comes as a surprise. Which is all fine and good, Jyn is flexible, but she could deal with less scrutiny into her relationship with a certain serious spy. Cassian and her are friends, and that's the end of that. There's no future for either of them beyond this war and they both know it. Being practical is just part of being a soldier.
