Akechi looks away. He looks back at the ceiling, this time at the little stickers that Ren put up there.

“And here I thought I was the one who got drugged.”
“I can’t believe you joke about that.”or, Akechi sleeps over in LeBlanc's attic. Awkward, late night conversations ensue.

The back of his kimono started to become a little damp as his brother cried into his shoulder. He couldn't bring himself to care.
A strange feeling pulsed in his chest when he realized that he had made Zenitsu feel safe enough to be openly vulnerable. Safe enough to show his emotions without getting hurt for it.

Rudo sleeps with his gloves on; he never takes them off except to wash them, because the pain is unbearable without them. Nowadays, they hurt more than most. The ache and itch under the charred skin surface from being suppressed for so long by the leather of his gloves.

Late nights like these where his hand's hurt so bad the gloves didn't help were not a foreign concept to Rudo. What made this night particularly hard for the young teen was the absence of Regto. He never planned for not having Regto there to help him through the worst of it, and Rudo wasn't sure what his subconscious would do in order to get the help he needed, but refused to ask for.
