“Listening to me waffle isn’t wasting your time?” Connor asks wryly.
Kyle shrugs a shoulder. “Nah. It’s you, isn’t it?”

Kon’s heart felt like it was going to flutter out of his chest. To almost everyone else in the world, he was Robin — an enigma with very little known information. Batman’s sidekick and Young Justice’s leader.
But to Kon… he was Tim. And he was bisexual. And he’d been drunk.
It was like there was a side of Tim that Kon got all to himself. He promised Tim that he wouldn’t tell the rest of the team his name or his sexuality but it’s not like Kon really needed the encouragement. Selfishly, he liked being the only one who knew. Selfishly, he wanted to keep it that way.

He hadn't meant to break anything. He thought, distantly, that he should feel worse about that than he did— should feel guilty, breaking something of Tim's this soon, this raw— but some instinct, the same one that had walked him to this door without his permission, told him the breaking wasn't really the point tonight, and he set the broken drawer piece aside, careful even in his carelessness, and lifted the box out.
He opened it, because the alternative— sitting alone in Tim's room with an unopened box in his hands, forever— was somehow worse than whatever it contained.
Inside were letters.

Summary
They’d been dating for over a year and Bernard still hadn’t met Tim’s family. Bernard knew that Tim was an anxious, paranoid mess, and that he was just trying to keep things under control, but still. Not knowing Tim’s family made their whole thing feel less. . .permanent. Easier for Tim to end when he got scared. Easier for Tim to leave Bernard alone. Again.
But Bernard was determined to make this work, because this past year had been the best year of his life and that was in large part due to Tim. So he’d done what normal, healthy people did in relationships and communicated his concerns to his boyfriend.
And Tim had proven, once again, that he actually listened to Bernard.
Or, Bernard bonding with the Batkids while also dealing with his trauma from his parents and from the cult. And maybe finding a family along the way.

Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)
