“...huh?” Rei wonders aloud, now thoroughly confused.
“Kazuki-papa has to kiss it better too,” Miri explains with a direct nod of her head as though it’s some well-known fact that Kazuki-papa has to kiss cuts better too.
“That’s right, Miri!” Kazuki agrees, squatting down next to them.
“...it is?” Rei asks, his finger already being lifted again, this time by Kazuki’s warmer, bigger hand.
Five times Kazuki kisses Rei and they pretend that “it doesn’t mean anything,” plus one time they kiss and it means everything.
