"What questions do you have for the spirits?"
Normal shoves his hands into the center pocket of his collegiate hoodie and shrugs. "Questions?…uh, I'm not sure!"
"Okay, then tell us about your nightmare," Scary says with a surprising level of patience, "that you mentioned in the group text."
Oh, yeah. The group text. He can usually deal with things on his own, but the insomnia had really gotten to him. Now, he can barely remember what he'd said, but it had apparently been concerning enough that his old friends had texted back and demanded they drive over.
But that seemed like too much to ask, so he got in his car and drove over to their place instead.

Summary
The era of Sozin’s rule is known to the world of literature as a time of censorship and cultural destruction. The number of works in the Royal Archive of Caldera burned from the beginning of the Hundred Year War to Sozin’s death in 20 AG are estimated to be between 320,000 and 400,0000 scrolls. Despite this concerted effort to eliminate art which challenged xenophobic ideologies and encouraged peaceful collaboration with the Four Nations, the Fire Nation Empire was unable to erase the memory of Love amongst Dragons from the minds of its people, and through its many iterations and editions this story persists primarily today as the beloved play Love amongst the Dragons.
NOTE: Translators have taken liberties in the translation of the fragments retained from the attempted destruction, and have depicted missing sections of the scroll with brackets and estimated translations in italics.

Summary
Half of the blood on his clothes had belonged to Lark. The fact buzzed through him, over and over, like the hum of a feedback loop. And it hadn’t stopped since.
Everything turned out alright in the end, of course, with all the healing potions poured down Lark’s throat, with Sparrow’s magic weaving through him, but.
He had been so fragile— the boy that ended the world.

Summary
Lark isn’t immune to the stomach-drop of forgetting his own skin, even if he’s used to it. Even if he’s grateful for it. Sometimes he’ll catch Sparrow’s reflection in a window and think, with complete certainty, that it’s his own until Sparrow moves to scratch his face and Lark doesn’t feel his own hand rise, doesn’t feel the press of his own fingertips against the stubble of his chin. For a split second, it throws him off.
Which is why, when Nicky is knocked three stories down to the carpeted concrete of the aquarium floor and crumples like a stunned bird, Lark knows why he didn’t use his wings. He’d forgotten they were his.

“I'm following in my dad's footsteps, I guess,” is what comes out of his mouth, his usual spiel evaporating at Cas’ blank stare. “Preaching's kind of the family business.”
Cas doesn’t move, doesn’t blink. His eyes are narrowed, bouncing all around Dean’s face, but for the first time since they met, it seems that Cas is unable to cut through him, like a bird slammed head-first into a window.

“Listen.” Charlie uncurls herself from the passenger door and rolls out her shoulders. “You, a future preacher or whatever, drive me here with no music, forcing me to reflect on my life and my choices for the whole drive–”
“Oh, is that what you were doing?”
“–then park right in front of a chapel at a church camp, with–” she takes her phone from her pocket, flips it open, and snaps it shut– “no cell phone service. What am I supposed to think?”
Dean rolls his eyes. “First of all, you’re the one who shut off Floyd. And B, I already told you– this ain’t a church camp.”
“Hm, I don’t know.” She taps her chin. “Creepy white chapel in the woods says otherwise.”

Summary
Disheartened after the failed attack on Caldera on the Day of Black Sun, Sokka is hunting in the woods by the Western Air Temple when Mai pins him to a tree and offers him a trade — Zuko in exchange for his father.
All he has to do is trick the Jerk Prince into breaking into the Boiling Rock prison with him. Should be easy enough. Shouldn’t awaken anything in him or anything.
