The Rigel Black Chronicles is the tale of a heroic protagonist focused on her studies and world betterment as she encounters discrimination as a halfblood witch in a Wizarding Britain ruled by the politician Tom Riddle, a trail-blazer for British halfbloods everywhere and a shining exemplar of equality, who rises above every setback she encounters, makes steadfast friends in unexpected places everywhere she goes, and, presumably, will go on to triumphantly dismantle a system of systemic oppression and discrimination.
It is also a story in which loving your oppressors is the noble thing to do, the right course of action to take, the brave choice. It is a story in which friendships overcome all barriers, even among the most bigoted and privileged with the most to gain from institutional discrimination. He goes back to the Gryffindor dorms with a vial — one of his own, he wouldn’t dare to touch Snape’s vials, wouldn’t dare to steal from him — full of a transparent liquid, much like water. This would do the trick, this would end the pain he’s feeling.
He’s going to drink it before going to sleep. But… something. He doesn’t, halts just as the vial is inches away from his mouth.
He rips a piece of paper from one of his notebooks, writing down:
-Your name is Harry Potter.
-You were born on July 31st, 1980.
-Your parents, Lily and James Potter, died when you were a baby, so you won’t meet them.
-You’re a wizard.
There are many other things he doesn’t want to burn inside his head when he drinks the potion, but he doesn’t write them. These are enough.

Summary
Harry Potter has honestly enjoyed his four years as a Gryffindor. He loves the friends, the camaraderie, the cozy feeling of Gryffindor Tower – oh, and getting to be the Boy-who-Lived, wizarding superstar, isn't bad either. The House of Lions helped him to become the friendly, warm, fun-loving kid he is today – and set aside his past as the terror of Little Whinging Primary, the cold, angry boy who hurt Muggles with magic.
But it's not that simple. He hates being in danger every year. He hates the way he underperforms in classes. He can't quite let go of the manipulative ways of his childhood, still lurking beneath the surface. And after watching Lord Voldemort murder Cedric Diggory, he's absolutely petrified. He wants out. He wants to stop being Harry Potter.
