“Syd Baby.” She hears his soft whisper and the gentle touch of his lips to her forehead before she opens her eyes and they are met with the brightest shade of blue that she’d grown accustomed to loving over the years. She smiles into the warm skin under his neck at the sound of her favorite nickname. It was like waking up to a piece of heaven now that he was back in her life everyday.
“Yes Carm?”
“I wanna take you on a honeymoon.”
“Say more.” She nestles into him deeper as he squeezes her arms for courage.
“When we got married, it was so quick and then we went back to being mom, dad, and chefs before we could even really blink. I think that’s part of the reason why we ended up here. We just didn’t get enough time to celebrate us, and before we open up the new spot, I think we should go on a honeymoon.”Carmy plans a late honeymoon and they leave with a souvenir.
