Summary
LeClaire’s hand is still on his shoulder, and Ilya knows that it doesn’t look like anything. A coach speaking to one of his players. LeClaire’s heat seeps through his suit jacket, and his breath is a warm, damp wash of air against Ilya’s ear.
“They’ve finished up with the awards,” he murmurs. “You look like you’re ready to get out of here.”
Ilya nods tightly and sets his drink down on the table.
OR:
Gregori Rozanov was bad in many ways, but Coach LeClaire might have him beat.
Shane Hollander has something to say about that. It turns out a lot of people do.

Summary
The look on Shane’s face, even blurry and partially obscured by smoke, confirms everything Ilya had been thinking. He can hear an awful, keening sound, and realises with a shock that it’s coming from him. And fuck, it only serves to make Shane’s face crumple even more.
I have never been in a plane crash. A singular plane malfunction, in anyone’s lifetime, even someone who flies as much as him, is an anomaly. Two? Two fucking crashes? Those odds aren’t even worth calculating. Almost impossible.
He can hear Sveta’s voice in his head, Russian, sweet and warm like the honey tea her mother used to make for him: You don’t need to tempt fate, Ilyusha, she already has such horrid plans for you.
Or: The Centaurs’ plane crashes. Again. Shane has to decide what’s worse— Almost dying, or actually surviving.

LOVE a well-done plane crash go and the way this one bounces between the crash and before and yuna’s pov is Very Good. characterization is a1 and the sprinkling of tidbits about their life post-canon is also very good

Summary
The week before the 2017 All-Stars Game, Ilya Rozanov is placed on IR. Ten days later, he disappears from the league entirely. Boston says nothing, and for once, a notoriously fickle league closes ranks.
Every attempt Shane makes to find him hits a wall. In one last desperate, life-altering bid to reach him, Shane comes out to the world, only to be met with Ilya’s silence.
By the time the 2020/21 season begins, Shane has nothing left but hockey and regret. He builds a dynasty, guts his life, and pins the last scraps of his hope on the Metros’ newest transfer, the dangerously hot-headed Cliff Marlow.
Stepping back into the public eye after the worst three years of his life, all Ilya wants is to find some kind of purpose. Shane is done with him, he made that much clear. Ilya isn't about to try to convince himself otherwise. He just wants to prove he still has some use left in him.
Fortunately for both of them, they're still fucking stupid for each other.

GOOD SERIES that navigates somewhat wild plot lines w coherence and also weaves in key canon plot points on a revised timeline that makes sense and is interesting! anya as a service dog is galaxy brained, ilya’s ptsd and the way everyone around him handles it is sooo good <3 the bit w ilya’s cross and the recurring themes of his nightmares are gut wrenching and also very good

It went something like this:
“
