Summary
Steve Rogers, art student and part-time employee at Erskine's Antiques and Watch Repair, does a favor for a strange man in a green coat. In exchange, Steve is granted one wish. Thinking of his stack of unpaid bills, he wishes that he didn't have to worry so much about money. Instead of funds in his bank account, Steve finds billionaire Tony Stark at his door with a bouquet of roses.

Right now, Steve's heart desired this commercial transaction to end. He wanted to sell the guy his paperweight and get him out of the shop. The man was obviously crazy, and Steve definitely hadn’t told him his name, so how did he know it?
“Don’t trouble yourself with the details,” the man said breezily, as if Steve had spoken aloud. “What about riches, Steven? Mortals always like riches. Do you desire riches?”
“Well, sure, I guess, but I’d settle for sixty plus tax.”

Summary
Tony smooths out the sheets, shrugging his jacket off and draping it over the footboard of the bed. He pushes his purple sunglasses up into his messy hair.
He can't help but let his mind wander to... well, there wasn't a word for the relationship they shared, not really. Ex-boyfriend didn't really feel like it cut it. Old flame maybe. They had broken up when they were 18, and yet somehow every time he came back to town, he found himself in Steve's apartment. Which was often. More often than he should've. The last time he had seen Steve had been at Maria's funeral, but before that they had hung out together, they had slept together, they had laughed together. A 10-year long affair doomed to break them both from the start.
And here Tony was, back in Tupelo and ready to face the wounds he had long since decided to ignore.

Written so heartbreakingingly but I couldn't stop reading so that they could finally get back together! Is it bad that I want a sequel focused on Tony's recovery? Cause that would be even more heartbreak. I dunno. Definitely a must read.

Steve has to work together with Tony to take care of a traumatized child and figure out how to turn their itsy bitsy spider back into a Black Widow. Neither of them really want to talk about what happened in Siberia, but living in close quarters, they have to come to some sort of peace - even if it means addressing some feelings they'd rather not admit to having. As they work together to solve the problem of a re-emerging Red Room, Steve uncovers something he never expected to find again: family.

He’s The Captain?
This was not good. This was so not good.
There were theories of course, of what The Captain would look like. Most followed the typical Hollywoodesque belief that he was some version of the Godfather, sitting in a dark room with a cigar, commanding his forces with a flick of his wrist. There were even some that even thought that The Captain was not one person, but a whole network of people with eyes and ears everywhere.
The blonde Adonis in front of him was definitely not what Tony was expecting.
Of course, in the end it didn’t matter.
There was a reason no one knew what The Captain looked like.
Because anyone who saw his face never lived to tell the tale.
