Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin in no way intended to become the unofficial mentors of an 11-year-old muggleborn girl. They resign themselves to trying to drill a survival instinct into her head any way that they can.
Equipped with some (possibly illegal) hexes, some semblance of common sense, and ambition that could put Salazar himself to shame, Hermione sorts Slytherin.

As an ex-psychologist turned vocationally-obsessive-crazy-bitch turned reformed antihero (via the cleansing power of recreational marijuana and lesbianism), Harley knows a thing or two about psychoanalyzing. It was one of her favorite hobbies. Summary
During Regulus Black's first year at Hogwarts, he feels nothing but contempt for his stupid, troublemaking, Gryffindor brother, (who left him all alone in that cold, cold house), and his ragtag group of blood traitor friends.
As he grows (and gets kidnapped by said brother), he finds his contempt turned to begrudging tolerance and himself in a truely ill-advised relationship consisting of passionate trysts with Gryffindor’s golden boy, James Potter. Regulus knows that it won’t work out. That eventually, someone will get hurt. Still, James is the kind of hurt you lean into, addicted to the thrill of the flight right up until the fall. Maybe even still then.

A few hours’ drive just didn’t seem far enough to be away from the expanse of Gotham, not when Bristol itself rolled out several miles around the city proper, so he cranked it up a few hours. Chicago seemed like a far enough place away, until he got onto I-80 and a terror seized him as he remembered Dick had spent a brief stint as an officer in Chicago. So he kept driving west.
