“It’s snowing, Foolish.”
Foolish’s eyes snap open. “Huh?”
Vegetta smiles, eyes betraying that he’d known this, exactly, would be his husband’s reaction. “It’s snowing.”
“Fuck!”

“You’re not,” Foolish interrupts, stepping closer again, and if Vegetta wasn’t so focussed on keeping his feet exactly where they are, arms shaking as they hold up the creaking, groaning iron wall of his control, he would step back, away – away from Foolish and the temptation he is. “You wouldn’t hurt me. I know you wouldn’t.”
“Stop,” Vegetta gasps, hands fisted at his sides. With his head still ducked, he can see it when Foolish steps closer once more, and now they’re close, too close, and it’s all Vegetta can do to take a breath through his mouth instead of his nose, the iron wall cracking – but it’s hardly better because he can practically taste Foolish in the air as he knew he would be able to; it’s as if one, small drop of blood has been tantalisingly held above his tongue and now he’s even more desperate for it, prickles of fire eating away at his skin as he stands there with this – this stupid werewolf in front of him, offering himself up for Vegetta to bite.
I can’t hurt him. I can’t. I can’t.

Weddings used to be joyful celebrations, but for Vegetta, they were a source of trauma and hesitation. His history with weddings included being left at the altar and witnessing his to-be-partner kissing someone else at his third wedding. After enduring countless weddings, he vowed never to marry.
However, a chance encounter with Foolish, a charming man with golden hair, green eyes, and a childlike wonder, changed everything. Foolish's talents, including building and language skills, won Vegetta's heart. They fell in love, and Vegetta reconsidered his stance on marriage.
One day, after returning from a business trip, Vegetta impulsively proposed to Foolish in English, his second language. Foolish's unexpected acceptance led to an impromptu wedding ceremony. Later, they had a more formal family wedding, making Leonarda, Roier, and Richarlyson part of their special day. Vegetta realized that, with Foolish by his side, his luck in love had finally taken a turn for the better.

Somehow, this was everything that he had ever wanted and nothing like he ever thought was possible. The only thing he could do was tilt his face so that their noses weren’t pressed hard against each other, softening the kiss to something gentle and loving. It conveyed the unfortunate affection he now felt for this infuriating optimist, knowing that with this kiss, he had tasted the fruit of the Underworld, never to return to his homeland again. For this was his home now, arms like chains around his neck, dragging him down to the sweet dream of a future where he was no longer alone.
