You really mean it. You really would take the worst, most excruciating agony imaginable over seeing the other suffer. Summary
"In a flash, Killua’s hand shifts into razor-sharp claws, nails elongating and veins bulging. He holds it firmly against Gon’s throat, not hard enough to cut into him, but a warning.
'Who the hell are you?' he demands, voice low and dangerous in a way Gon has only heard on a handful of occasions."
An unknown Nen ability causes Killua to lose all memory of Gon, and he's extremely suspicious of the story Gon tells him of the life they allegedly share. Love, belonging, a cozy apartment with both of their names on the lease--it's simply too good to be true. For someone like Killua, that sort of life just isn't possible. For someone like Killua, Gon just isn't possible.

Summary

Summary
Killua Zoldyck is perfectly normal. A little lonely, perhaps, but for the most part, fairly ordinary. Except for, of course, the fact at hand; Killua sees dead people. More than that, he helps them with their unfinished business, ushering them to the other side. It’s not a job he particularly enjoys, but he has little choice in the matter.
Everything changes when he meets Gon for the first time. Gon is unabashedly upbeat, charismatic, and infuriatingly positive—especially for a ghost.
Killua’s job should be simple—help Gon figure out what’s keeping him on Earth, then send him on his way.
It would be a lot easier if Killua didn’t find himself wishing Gon could stay by his side.

Summary
The final theory was the one Killua felt least likely to be true, and the one that he wished for most ardently; somehow, some way, he’d been sent back in time. Every fibre of him knew that it was impossible. Every fibre of him sang with wanting. It'd be too neat, too easy— and if Killua had learned anything, it was that the universe was diametrically opposed to making things easy.
Unable to conclude what the ever-loving fuck was going on, Killua was forced to move on to his next problem: what was he going to do about it?

Summary
Whale Island has never felt so small and isolated as right then, standing next to Aunt Mito’s letterbox holding a postcard from someone he’s suddenly not sure he’ll see again for a very long time.
After parting with Killua at the World Tree, Gon returns to Whale Island, weighed down with regrets. Sporadic postcards from afar are now his only connection to his best friend, fragile threads stretching across the vast distance as he tries to untangle what Killua truly means to him. As he drifts in the ache of separation and an uncertain future, darkness stirs on the horizon and threatens to draw them back together - whether they are ready or not.
My attempt to fill in the gaps for Gon and Killua between the World Tree and the Black Whale, with some creative liberties taken!

Summary
It's been five years of seeing each other once a year at Leorio's New Year Party, five years of the mostly emails and birthday cards, five years of unlearning each other and growing distant. Until a surprise attack pulls them back into each other's orbit. Gon and Killua try to stay connected while everything around them keeps getting more dangerous and complicated. There are messy reunions, surprise attacks, secret safehouses, and a lot of late-night talking and emotional almost-confessions. Killua is doing everything he can to keep Alluka safe, Gon is dealing with losing his Nen and a ton of leftover trauma, and they both lean on each other way more than they want to admit.

Summary
Killua isn’t great with feelings or displays of such. Never has been, never planned to be. He shoves them away, he apologizes for them, and he moves on with his life.
Gon, however, loves feelings and loves to show them. All of them, all the time. He never apologizes for how he feels, and he can’t understand why anyone ever would.
Killua says that, had he known how persistent Gon would be about the whole “sharing feelings” thing, he never would’ve introduced himself during the Hunter Exam. (It would’ve saved him a whole lot of new kinds of feelings.)
Gon says that, had he known how persistent Killua would be about the whole “no feelings” thing, he would’ve given him some tough love ages ago. (It would’ve expedited some things.)

Summary
At the southern tip of Jappon is the tropical island of Yakushima, where the fabled Jomon Suji, a 7000 year old Cedar tree resides.
3 years had passed since Killua and Gon had separated.
After touring the world, the Zoldyck siblings arrive on the island to start a few months of relaxation. During this time of relaxation, Alluka has made it clear: they must decide where they will settle down. All Killua wants to do is stop thinking about Gon and not think about settling down. He made a huge effort to stay out of contact with Gon during these 2 years, but those stupid feelings of his never went away.
Across the world, Gon has become a poisonous animal/plant hunter and an online blogger. After receiving anonymous tips about a potentially dangerous animal, he also makes his way to Yakushima Island, where the animal was suspected to be. He also had tried very hard to stay out of contact with Killua, trying his best to ignore his feelings in order to pursue his new career and regain his nen.
With the three of them on the same island at the same time, they are bound to run into each other and feelings are bound to come out of hiding.
