Summary
Turning over, Wen Xiao wound her arms - and a leg, for good measure - around Pei Sijing, buried her face in the crook of her neck. She smelt like sandalwood, and looked familiarly lovely with her hair loose. Her arms, sure as always, settled around Wen Xiao’s waist. She let out a puff of a laugh when Wen Xiao pressed her lips to her throat.
“I didn’t come here just to sleep, Jiejie.” Pei Jiejie’s breath hitched as the words brushed the sensitive skin, at the bend of her neck. “Wake me up properly.”
One hand slipped from around her waist to push the outer layer of her robes aside and undo the ties of her inner robe. Pei Sijing wasted no time– one of her many wonderful and admirable qualities. Wen Xiao hummed as her nimble fingers trailed up and down her side.
“Awake now?” Pei Sijing murmured against her ear.
“Not that easy,” Wen Xiao lied.

Summary
Li Lianhua finds the armour clinging to a piece of driftwood. He knows whose it is, knows its reputation even if the sight of it isn't familiar. He knows what broke the links on it, creating these two small gashes. He almost casts it back into the sea, but the weight of it on his fingers refuses to let go.
It comes back to his new home, tucked into a sleeve.

“Li Xiangyi,” Di Feisheng said. Nothing more, nothing less. His voice was almost reverent when he used that name. He hadn’t called him by it since they’d found him, saved him. It made Li Lianhua’s breath catch.
“This Li Xiangyi gets way too many chances,” he muttered. He was supposed to have died a long time ago. He’d buried him for a decade, and the past had come along and dug him back up. Then he’d once again thrown Li Xiangyi away after tying up every loose thread, and yet, Li Xiangyi lived because there were those who spoke him to life.
Li Xiangyi lived because Li Lianhua couldn’t quite stop answering to the name when it was uttered in this voice.
Or: Li Lianhua deals with having to live on after a decade of expecting death.

Summary
There was a ghost at the end of the pier.
He was sitting on the steps, shoulders bowed under an extra layer of robes, a deep purple, a little too small across the shoulders. Jars of local alcohol sat and rocked at his feet, mostly empty, save the one hanging precariously from one hand. Legs sprawled in front of him, his other hand was fisted on his knee, strangling a piece of paper, the ring on his finger purple, dull and lifeless.
“Wei Wuxian,” The ghost said, deep voice devoid of anything and everything. “If you desecrate my uncles remains, there will be no place you can go, no realm you can flee to, that I will not find you.”
“Ah, A-Ling,” The Yiling Patriarch swayed in place, rocking like one of Lotus Piers boats in a storm. He felt drunk, he hadn’t had a drop, he was lightheaded and heavy-hearted. “What makes you think that’s why I’m here?”

“How many dates is this?” Verity asks, idly. “At some point, don’t you have to start wondering if he’s the problem, not the dates.”
“Thank you for your input, Vee,” Mobius sighs. “Don’t you have some tables to check up on? Or...”
He loses his train of thought as the man at the table leans forward languidly like a cat, resting his elbows on the table and gifting his current date with a Cheshire smile. A finger decorated with two thin gold rings above the middle knuckle traces around the edge of the highball glass suggestively and a lock of raven’s wing black hair falls out of his stylishly messy top knot and across his face.
Mobius wonders why someone like that feels the need to work so hard for attention, but the guy in the polo shirt with the perfect teeth sitting across from him barely seems to appreciate it so maybe that’s why. Mobius sure as hell is having a hard time looking away. The slit in that skirt is probably going to kill him before the night is over.
OR
Mobius works at the bar that Loki brings all his first dates to. None of them go well. Maybe someone needs a shoulder to cry on?
