"I apologize," Damian spat, somehow making it sound like an insult.
"It's ok, little buddy," Steph chirped.
"I am not your---"
"Yup. My little buddy, that's what you are. My littlest buddy," She cooed.
Frankly, Dick was confounded by her limitless audacity.

Summary
Damian Wayne is not the scientist of the family, so it really doesn't make sense that he would be the one to figure out how to travel through time and space to some different set of hero headquarters. It does make sense that they would have quite a few questions for the highly trained child that showed up from a different universe, but Damian isn't going to give up information without collateral. You've seen Peter Parker in Gotham, get ready for Damian Wayne in Avengers Tower. No one is getting out of this without a headache.
“Whoa there buddy, you okay?”
That was not his father’s voice.
And yes, father had a habit of collecting children like a squirrel before winter but that voice did not belong in the cave.
Likely because, Damian realized, he was no longer in the Batcave.
The room around him was definitely a lab, and a nice one, but it wasn’t Drake’s. There were far too many windows, not enough coffee cups, and way, way too many robots. There was also a man standing in front of him in a lab coat. How cliche.
Damian pulled himself up to his full height and gave the peasant his best ‘you are beneath me’ scowl. “That’s none of your concern.”

“So is everyone here, you’re not special!” Drake rolled his eyes.
“I’m not.”
As soon as he said it, he regretted it. So far, he’d been an observer, holding himself to a higher standard rather than deigning to join the scrum, not even saying a word. But now… All eyes were on Damian.

He checked Damian’s IV, made sure that the blanket was positioned just so, Dick even readied another cup of water as if Damian had managed to accept one in the first place. It wasn’t busying himself, he reasoned, it was simply… Giving Damian another chance.
Yes, that was it.
Dick was giving Damian another chance to wake and this time he would wake fully and then Dick could bring him home and they could forget all about this.
It wasn’t busying himself and yet after the third time checking to make sure all the lines were still good, Dick knew that he had run out of tasks to do.
Dick could stay.
He could stay and that would be fine. Most of this hospital had the Wayne name on it, Dick had spent plenty of nights here sitting by the bedsides of Dad’s, brother’s and friends regardless of normal visiting hours, he could stay this time too.

Something sinister is in the town, though. Damian can feel it.
Too bad it’s far too late when he realizes that sinister something was coming after him.

Damian is fussy for a ten-year-old boy. Little things tip him over the edge: different plates at breakfast, wearing his school uniform, Tim's face. He lets his emotions bubble over and take control of his actions. Toys are broken, shoes thrown at the wall, tantrums thrown, and Bruce is at his wits' end.
After Damian breaks another one of his toy sets... then throws a fit over it, Bruce takes the boy outside with slight difficulty and for a break.

He rescued the tiny pest, now the other idiots can deal with looking after him… if only the rest of the family weren’t stuck in the Cave.
To put it bluntly, Jason would’ve taken playing nurse to Timmy over the demon brat he barely knew.
But the issue was, it’s hard to ignore the little shit when he’s unable to act like a little shit ‘cause of all the pain and… dammit, Jason’s gonna end up having to hug the crying brat, isn’t he?

Summary
The dry room was small, spare jackets and snow pants still hanging from coat hangers high above the vents. While there was a door that led into the living area that Jason had gone for, Dick stayed exactly where he was instead, already tugging Damian a little further in so that the door leading to the metal grated entrance of the chalet was.
Damian didn’t fight the action, nor did he so much as glare as Dick began stripping the soaking wet gear from his body. Hell, he barely even blinked as Dick knelt fully in front of him, a hand on his stone cold cheek.
The humidity was already making Dick feel ill even as the warmth started soaking into his own bones. Not trusting Damian to remain on his feet for any longer, as soon as Damian was down to his thermals Dick gently coaxed him down onto the ground, his back pressed up against a wooden wall.
They’d been lucky that the dry room had retained this much heat in the time they had been gone, the vents pumping the warm air in connected to the very same fireplace that Jason was hopefully already working on reigniting.

“See!” Jon let go of Damian’s hands and threw his arms out wide at his sides in an extravagant gesture.
Damian looked wildly unimpressed, though Jon saw the way his eyes darted back and forth, really taking in the scene around him, the rocky bank, the murky water, the sunlight spilling in from between the bright green leaves of the trees. There was a sparkle of curiosity in his eyes, clearly Jon had piqued his interest.
“It’s a creek.” Is all Damian said.

Summary
Damian watched as the third presence dawned on Drake. His face crumpled, looking horribly miserable at the realization of his mistake. The needle went in for no more than a few seconds before Drake’s eyes rolled to the back of his head and he promptly passed out.
Damian reacted on instinct, moving to disarm the attacker. He was a strong weapon, even without his sword to aid him. The syringe was knocked out of the man’s grip with ease as Damian moved to leave him unconscious.
What he failed to calculate for was a second syringe.

Unsurprisingly, as it is eight in the morning, it goes to voicemail. Damian waits impatiently for the beep. “Richard,” he says, in tones of the deeply suffering, “this place is a hostile environment. I must be collected post-haste, as after this latest indignity I am dropping out. Come at once, or I may die here.”
The dynamic duo attend a parent-teacher conference. No one has a good day.
