"The funny one..." she muttered, her back still turned to Jax whose stomach was twisting in a weird sense of déjà-vu. He opened his mouth to say something, defend himself, go back on everything, apologize again, cry, anything, but she suddenly spun around to face him.
"'The funny one', huh?" her usually melodic voice was taking on a more aggressive tone, "well, I'M. NOT. LAUGHING!" she yelled, hurling the block at the ground. Jax flinched and involuntarily took a step back, the knot in his stomach growing as he looked into her eyes and, oh...She was crying.
(aka Jax goes to apologize to Pomni in hopes of getting her to stop ignoring him after their fight but is instead faced with a confrontation resulting in much more than that)

They stood next to one another, gazing at the sun setting, a comfortable silence looming over the entirety of St. James' Park. Crowley had his eyes half-closed, just taking in all that happened. Shoulders loose, neck no longer stiff and hands resting comfortably in his pockets.
Aziraphale, who never seemed to fully relax, had disappeared into his thought quite a while ago. And he knew his head was a dangerous place to be in.

“UNFORTUNATE NEWS EVERYONE, JAX HERE HAS CAUGHT HIMSELF A NASTY BUG, AND WON’T BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR ADVENTURE TODAY!” The ringmaster announced to the other circus members, to which a grand total of one of them actually seemed concerned, though Jax wishes she wasn’t.
“NOT TO WORRY THOUGH. THIS CIRCUS HAS A BUILT IN ANTIVIRUS SYSTEM CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR INSTANCES SUCH AS THIS, SO HE’LL BE BETTER IN NO TIME.” The teeth assured.
Jax remained quiet throughout Caine’s monologue, silently taking in what he was saying.
Virus.
He had a virus.
Because of course he did.
He’s long learned by now that logic was not a thing in this world. A human being afflicted with a virus? Why not? Not like this is any stranger than what he’s normally forced to deal with.
At least now he might be able to get some alone time. He could use that after the catastrophe that was the gun adventure.
“Although… Come to think of it… it might be a good idea for one of you to keep an eye on him while he recovers…”
…What?
Or:
Jax gets afflicted with a virus and Pomni takes care of him.

set post episode 6! a ton of fluff, some angst and a lot of circus antics
It had been days since he had freaked out at Pomni and he was doing his best to avoid her and everyone else for that matter, for eternity if he could. The look in her eyes was seared into his brain, worming its way into his dreams, warping them into nightmares. Their fight replayed in a constant loop in his head, causing him to wince at the memory of all the horrible things he had said.That alone was bad enough, but then there was Pomni. She had tried so desperately to get through to him, to understand.
And he had pushed her away.
He had to make it right.

Jax quickly realises that Pomni is the only person he can truly be himself around, trying to figure out quite why he's so drawn to her but well aware of the consequences of getting close to someone in this digital hellscape
While is Jax trying to come to peace with his feelings, Pomni is struggling with her own and starts to uncover secrets about the circus from unexpected places. Secrets that could turn this whole place on its head.
