“I’m thinking the same thing, Big Q,” Wilbur shot back, feeling a twinge of relief as the machete moved a few centimeters back.
“You know him?” The man with the machete asked, looking back at Quackity.
Clenching his jaw, Quackity nodded. “You could say that, Etoiles.”
Behind him, Bad frowned. “Is he a friend of yours?”
Fuck.
Quackity narrowed his eyes. “The last time I saw Wilbur Soot, he abandoned me and stole my fucking guitar. So no, I wouldn’t say he’s a friend of mine.”
or, Wilbur didn’t think running from a monster in the woods would lead to him seeing Quackity for the first time in years. But that’s only the start of his problems, because Quackity’s new group can’t seem to decide what to do with him and Tallulah.

Phil’s smile grew as he nodded. “Yeah, exactly.”
Wilbur furrowed his brows at this. “Is it maths? Because I hate maths.”
“No, it’s not maths, mate,” Phil chuckled. “Remember how you talked to us about Techno?”
Even though Techno was in that state where Wilbur could only see a fuzzy outline of him standing on the other side of his chair, he could feel something like nervousness spike from him in the back of his mind, so he tried to shove some silent reassurance his way.
“Yeah, I do. Do you want me to draw another picture of him?”
Phil shook his head. “Nah, we don’t need another picture. But it would be great if you could get Techno to help us out with some of the tests we’re gonna do. If you can’t do it or he can’t do it, that’s fine. We just wanna figure out what the two of you can do.”

From the corner of his eye, all he could see was a tuft of blonde hair. The person was sitting right beside him, taking slow, exaggerated breaths like they’d just run a marathon or something.
Oh fuck. This wasn’t good.
Deciding to use the element of surprise before the person figured out he was awake, Wilbur took one more breath to steady himself. Then, he bolted upright, and twisted so he could pin the stranger against the wall.
“Hey man! What the fuck?!”
