It's been 5 years since both Superman and Batman began their separate crusades. Both curious but cautious.
Clark remains in Metropolis, respecting the Dark Knight's strict rule to keep metas out of Gotham. Meanwhile, Bruce is consumed with finding a balance between Batman and Bruce Wayne, determine to not repeat mistakes of the past. But it's hard to do that when he is too stubborn to accept help. Fortunately, for him Clark is just as stubborn.
Their paths cross when Clark is sent to cover a gala in Gotham, stepping into the city he's barred from. What begins as a professional obligation turns into an unforgettable collision with Gotham's once reclusive billionaire.
Or Clark and Bruce fall for each other slowly yet quickly.

Their partnership. They're destined to be together, it seems, and break a few laws of nature and magic while they find their way.

Gale was close enough to see Astarion’s nostrils flare as he took in a great, deep breath, chest heaving with the effort. His scarlet eyes gleamed in the moonlight, open so wide and staring with such rapt attention straight into his own. Through him. It made Gale feel small. And important, maybe.
Sometimes Gale has impossibly big feelings and the only way he knows to cope is with endless rumination and denial that basically amounts to sticking his fingers in his ears and shouting. Such a coping mechanism may prove inadequate for dealing with the walking, talking, plucked-from-his-guilty-conscience fantasy that is Astarion. And it doesn’t help that Astarion has a smile that makes his heart sing, along with being, probably, the first real friend he’s ever had. (Tressyms excluded, of course.)

Maximilien works for most of the day and evening, customers coming in droves and begging for assistance. Usually, he does. As long as he gets something in return, but when the leader of Null Sector himself comes to the casino, it’s a different story. He talks too much, and Max likes quick deals.
Ramattra himself doesn’t understand the other, and has an urge to, despite their occurring differences in every conversation. Max is infuriating, rich, and far too sassy. Ramattra is stern and too forward with his intent for Max to want to listen to.
Will they actually have decent conversations ? Maybe. Will they work together ? Most likely.
And probably become more, at some point.

Unwrapping the puzzle that was understanding the half truths and hidden meanings in Astarion's words was challenging to say the least. But Gale found he quite enjoyed a challenge, even if it did lead him to making decisions that he still wasn't sure were correct. Yet, he didn't mind.
He was willing to change his sleeping arrangements for Astarion. It was hard not to grow fond of the people that you travelled with. That you shared with.

After a disaster of a mission left Cole completely bedridden, there's only one agent on base who is capable of taking care of him. One of Cole's least favourite people in the world: Hanzo-Resting-Bitch-Face-Shimada.
Cole only needs to survive 5 days of dealing with his care before Angela can sweep in and heal him like the angel she is.
So in the mean time, with his usual vices being out of reach, Cole's only sense of enjoyment is making every day caring for him hell for Hanzo.
What could possibly go wrong?
