Peter's alternated between ramen and peanut butter sandwiches for the past week. He only really eats healthy in the Tower when he's there a few times a week, and otherwise, he and May just don't have the time or energy that robust, fancy meals require. To say he's overwhelmed is an understatement.
He feels like fight or flight is starting to set in.
(Food insecurity rears its ugly head for Peter when he's at a stupidly fancy dinner with the Avengers; he tries to hide it, but he doesn't really do a good job, especially with his surrogate dad watching him like a hawk...eye.)

“I’m not going to lose it Stiles, just give it to me.” Scott grabs it and starts reading it a confused look coming across his face. “So, uh.. does this mean Derek’s not going to make it to the wedding?” he asks looking back up at Stiles.
“Uh this is his RSVP.” Scott explains holding up the small card Stiles had just handed him. “You were invited together. It’s on the envelope.”

He frowned in confusion, his chewing slowing. Tucking the food into one cheek, he asked, “What?”
“Nothing. It’s just nice. I like when the four of us come out together. Our little double dates,” she teased, stabbing her fork into a strawberry and putting it between her lips.
Stiles snorted at her comment, since this wasn’t a double date—he wished—but didn’t comment on it because he liked their outings, too. Even if he whined incessantly about it until he got there, it was always a good time.

“Know what? That you were a creep?” Mack pauses thoughtfully, eyeing the phone in John's clenched fist. It's Aaron's. “Oh sure, John. Straight from the jump. Just didn't know about the murdery stuff.”
“Mack,” John says urgently, stepping closer. “Did. You. Know.”
“About your little hidey hole in the woods? No, can't say that I did.”
John lets out a humorless chuckle. “Funny. You're done being scared of me and begging for your life, now?”
“I'm begging for some entertainment, really.”
John stalks over to Mack, eyes almost black, pupils fully dilated, mouth set in a firm, severe line. He crouches down low, enough to get right into Mack's face, leaving barely an inch of room between them.
“Did you know about Aaron sleeping with my brother?”
Ah, that.
“What answer won't get me murdered?”
“Mackenzie.”
Or: Mack's being held hostage by John and is slowly learning he truly doesn't know who John Sugden is or what he's actually capable of.
