Summary
Androids may have won their freedom, but in the eyes of the law they're still less than people. In the aftermath of a violent attack against Connor, this technicality leaves Hank filling out a property damage report of all things. It wasn't enough. It wouldn't give Connor the justice he deserved after what he'd been through. But if this was all Hank could do, he was going to make this damn thing as close to the assault case report it should be.

Summary
Claustrophobia was a common fear among humans and androids alike. But all the sensations they hated - the walls pressing in, cramped and with barely enough room to move - Connor took comfort in. After all, with walls on all sides but one he could face any danger head-on.
Unfortunately, Hank disagrees with that logic when he finds Connor bleeding all over his closet.

Summary
Taking place just after Hank and Connor left Stratford Tower (and Kamski's, in later chapters), this story attempts to make the call-out scenes everyone knows Connor needs. Will it work? Will he come to terms with his emotions? Absolutely not! This is Connor, not Markus! Don't be silly.

Summary
Gavin Reed is a man on the edge—of his career, of his sanity, and of his heart. Partnered with the advanced RK900 model, Nines, his every instinct tells him to distrust and dismiss the android. Nines, on the other hand, is a machine designed to serve, yet his growing awareness leads to confusion and a dangerous attraction. With both of them carrying burdens from their pasts, will they find a way to save themselves as they navigate their feelings and fight against a dark new conspiracy? Or will they destroy each other in the process?
"As he processed the crime scene, his sensors inadvertently detected something... out of place. Tina, as she’d ruffled Gavin’s hair, had left the detective standing there with a messy, windblown look that didn’t quite fit the usual professional image Gavin always tried to project. The sight was distracting—almost annoyingly so—and Nines tried to ignore it.
But his attention kept drifting back to the tousled hair, the slight mess of it that made Gavin look... different. Vulnerable, even. There was something about it that didn’t belong in the detective’s sharp, hardened persona.

Summary
Connor woke with what almost sounded like a sob as it tore itself from his voice box. He gasped, static filling his ears as he struggled to pull himself from the twisted memories and images that flashed behind his flickering eyelids. His hands spasmed as he grabbed for something, anything to hold onto that might ground him.
His vision was spinning, spiraling in places with images and people that did not and should not exist sitting in his periphery. He clenched his jaw so tightly that he felt the resin of his artificial teeth groaning in stress as he sucked painful gasps of air into what could serve as lungs.

Summary
The door creaked open, and Hank's figure filled the doorway, a silhouette against the lights inside. For a moment, neither of them spoke, the lieutenant's brows furrowed in concern as he took in the sight of Connor, drenched and motionless.
"Jesus Christ, Connor," Hank muttered finally, stepping aside. "Get in here before you short-circuit or something. Shit, how long were you out there?"
Connor's hesitation lasted probably a few seconds too long if the concern on Hank's expression was anything to go by, before he finally stepped inside, the warmth in the house fighting with the icy cold clinging to his synthetic skin.

Summary
It’s hard to be vulnerable, because being vulnerable means letting down your shield, letting people in, letting them see the real you. All your cracks and imperfections. You're more susceptible to judgement, and no one likes to be judged. Gavin knew all too well how that game went. Every time he let someone be part of his world, they wrung him dry for their own gain, spat him out when they grew bored of him. Bullies are bullies because they project their insecurities onto those that they deem as weaker than themselves. It makes them feel less scared.
See, Gavin hadn't always been a massive dick. Growing up, him and Tina were attached at the hip. Never apart, shared and did everything together. And, literally everything; it was almost like Gavin lived at her house. Everyone liked him, he was popular in school. But that all changed the second he became bitter and drove everyone away. Shut out his friends, his parents, his coworkers. He didn't even try to get along with people anymore because it didn't seem worth it.
That's why he doesn't understand why the fuck Nines is trying so hard to get close. After everything he'd done, the shit Gavin said, why did Nines still want to be part of his life? It was frustrating.

Summary
"Connor," Amanda says quietly, her soft palm pressing against its shoulder. "You can always come to me, no matter what struggles you're having."
Her soothing voice, the garden's diffuse lighting- it's at odds with the bright warnings in its HUD.
[WARNING: SHUT DOWN IN-]
"Explain to me what you were doing just now." The command is delicately delivered.
There is no answer to give.After- Connor changes. Joking is unnatural, banter comes awkwardly. The cold reality of its purpose -which the lieutenant has been doing his best to avoid- resharpens.
Hank wants to know what happened, wants to help.
Connor is fairly sure he can't do either.RECOMMENDED AS A STAND ALONE PIECE.

“Shut up!” Hank slammed on the brakes, the car coming to a screeching halt in the middle of the snowy road. “Stop trying to be my friend! You weren’t built to feel things, just to fake them! I don’t want to be a part of your stupid Cyberlife interpersonal relations test run!”
TLDR; Connor starts worrying he's become deviant but Hank has long accepted he's nothing more than a machine.

Summary
It’s different. “Connor”.
Bland.
Hank thought it had a stick up its ass before, but this is something else. Every morning it’ll greet him in that annoying synthetic lilt, all placid smiles and canned platitudes. It’s banned from the field, too, just so that Hank never gets a break from its scrawny silhouette in his periphery. Haunting the precinct like a plastic specter. Gone are the little smiles, the attitude he thought he’d caught glimpses of. No more weird-ass small talk. Figures it’d drop the human act now that the gig is up.
Still, it creeps him out. The way it’ll look at him sometimes — wide brown eyes with nobody in the driver’s seat. He’s pretty sure it used to blink.
(The android revolution falls to a bullet. Hank returns to work to a familiar face.)

Summary
Connor's eyes flicked open in a moment, his light faltering between flashes of red and yellow for a split second before settling back on yellow. He inhaled a bit sharply, straightening and blinking a few times rapidly before his eyes finally drifted up to meet Hank's face.
"Apologies, Lieutenant. What did you say?" He asked, drawing his hand away from his computer and back towards himself.
Hank raised an eyebrow. "Connor, were you asleep?" He crossed his arms over his chest, looking the deviant up and down. Something was definitely off about him, Hank decided once he'd gotten a good look; his eyes were glassy and unfocused, almost looking straight through him. "You feeling okay?"
The android's face flushed a pale blue and his gaze darted away, his hands fidgeting with themselves. "Everything is functioning properly," He answered, almost a bit too quickly.
