Those damn eyes.
Believing the world had ended, your family hid underground in a bunker for eighteen long years. It was all a lie. The world never stopped, it just moved on without you.
The first glimpse of freedom (literally) that you find, comes with a deviant android who is still discovering his own.
When underground experiments threaten to consume you both, freedom may cost more than what you can give. -

Summary
Before Project Deviant Hunter was even a concept, CyberLife’s Zoological Division had just begun expanding beyond androids of extinct and endangered animals. Their newest project, an initiative to supplement police and military forces with robotic canine service units.
But during the earliest days of project Hellhound’s inception, the deviancy crisis began to escalate, creating need for a hunter. When the similarities between the two nascent projects were realized, someone high up had the brilliant idea to combine the two for joint development and field testing. Thus when Connor is set upon the world it is with his K9 counterpart, Kyna, by his side.Alternatively:
I give Connor the cybernetic dog version of a daemon/magical animal companion. Having a platonic soulmate slash codependent bestie in your brain (or processor) 24/7 makes for fertile ground for deviancy to take root.
(Note: no need for familiarity with HDM or daemon AUs to read)

Summary
When Rawlins arrived that morning, Connor felt the first pang of unease.
The man was large, broad-shouldered, with the kind of weathered face that looked carved from stone. Deep-set eyes, a nose that had been broken at least twice, and the permanent shadow of stubble along his jaw. He wore his coat like armour, unbuttoned, revealing a holster strapped openly at his hip.
He didn’t offer his hand. Didn’t greet Connor with so much as a nod. Instead, his eyes flicked once to Connor’s LED, and his mouth twisted. “So this is the machine I’ve heard about.”
“Hello, my name is Connor,” Connor supplied. “I’ll be your partner until Lieutenant Anderson is cleared to return.”
Rawlins grunted, brushing past him. “We’ll see.”
Or, after Hank is placed on medical leave, Connor is reassigned to a new partner from a different precinct. Unfortunately, his new partner is more interested in using Connor as a tool than treating him like a living being.

Summary
Being alive is a relentless experience. It’s messy, uncertain, and sometimes painful. Connor is only starting to learn how much.
He should be glad; three months after the revolution and he’s finally back at the DPD, working with his partners, solving investigations. It must be comforting in its familiarity. But while everything seems the same, nothing truly is.
Connor waits, his patience fraying, aching for recognition–but still her eyes don’t soften with remembrance. Being a stranger to her doesn’t bother him as much as being the only stranger.
Or:
Relationships are complicated, cases are piling up, humans are still humans, and blood-soaked dots are connecting where they shouldn’t in the shape of a single name: CyberLife.

Summary
Detective Jack Harris never asked for an android partner. He sure as hell didn’t want one.
But when CyberLife assigns him the experimental RK400 prototype —a female investigative model designed to assist law enforcement in Nevada— he’s stuck. They are precise, unflappable, and programmed to analyze the darkest corners of the human mind.
Jack is messy, reckless, and carrying more damage than he cares to admit.
In the neon haze of Las Vegas, they’re forced to work together. First with hostility, then with an uneasy partnership that blurs into something neither of them is equipped to name. They don’t need comfort. He doesn’t think he deserves it.
A Detroit: Become Human story about closeness in spite of yourself, quiet moments that speak louder than words, and finding something human where you least expect it. -

Summary
Connor successfully halted a violent revolution, and deviant hysteria is at an all-time high. CyberLife replaced him with a newer, more dangerous model that will gladly take his life if it detects his deviancy. Connor and Hank struggle with the dread of a far emptier city as they learn how to survive in an increasingly unforgiving world. Connor fights to hide his identity from the threatening RK900, who may have more in common with him than he thinks.

If RK800 #313 248 317 -51 Designation: “Connor” cannot eliminate the threat that deviant terrorism poses to American homeland security—and, more importantly, the cardiac health of CyberLife's shareholders—it will meet the same fate as its previous fifty iterations. In light of the fact that its only hope is a perpetually-plastered police lieutenant with a disciplinary file longer than Venmurasu, Connor supposes it's fortunate to be a machine incapable of fearing death.
Unlike the machines that preceded it.

Androids have started to go rogue. Deviating from their code, running away, and having violent outbursts that make it difficult to crack down on the errors and keep their customers' trust. They leave these problems to a specialized prototype android who's been in development since the new drug was known, and an R&D director who also works for Central Detroit Police Department.
…They really shouldn't have.
