Summary
Sunlight reflects through the surface of the window, passing as if invited, and perhaps it is. Uncurtain and bare, the glass is not nearly thick enough to shelter Harry from it. It lets every ray enter undiscriminated, unfiltered, unbroken by Harry’s own murky soul.
The dust lights up, particles peeking down at him like stars, swept in his sky by another lazy day. He looks up at them.
He curves his lips to blow soft air up at it all, laid on the empty floor of his flat.
The particles of dust don’t move, they’re too high up.
OR
Nobody ever teaches you how to live, how to be a person. We breathe, and everyone tells us that’s enough.
But is it?

Feeling mulish, Harry frowned at him and leaned away in his seat. Ron looked incredulous, but also like he expected nothing less from him than to fail completely at looking after himself. Harry had come to expect this type of nagging concern from Hermione, and knew how to shoulder it without taking it too personally. But Ron had grown a strong motherly instinct since quitting auror work to help George full-time. The guilt upon noticing this energy directed at himself was miserable.
'I slept some,' Harry protested weakly, feeling distinctly uncomfortable under Ron’s knowing gaze."
Harry has a bad day and learns that resilience is great, but loved ones are better.

Draco sighed, twisting the ring around his finger. “You are my client, remaining neutral and unbiased is my job, Harry. So is making sure you’re in the proper state to handle-”
“Oh, screw you,” Harry interrupted.

Summary
Harry returned to Grimmauld and curled alone in Sirius’ bed, the night weighted on him and he choked with fear. A crack inside him had the shape and sound of their portkey disappearing. He didn’t sleep that night, Fred’s funeral fresh in his mind too. The guilt at his lack of tears or emotions the previous day overwhelmed him and kept his eyes opened so he could feel how undeserving of the Weasley’s love he was.
The months after the Battle of Hogwarts are sunny and beautiful, even though it feels like the sky should be falling around Harry. He tries to get through grief while fixing Hogwarts, capture some Death Eaters, return to his last year of school and befriend one Draco Malfoy. However, he’ll have to realize grief is not the only thing he has to fight now that he came back from death.
