Summary
There was something in his woods.
Grian tilted his head and started to Watch, and then frowned. He knew there was a new presence, he’d felt the entity cross into his plane, but he didn't see any new souls.
Something must have been sneaking across his lands, which was absolutely not acceptable. With a twitch of his wings, Grian teleported himself to his woods. There was a snap of branches to his left, and Grian flared his wings.
Something stumbled out from behind a patch of trees. It was a tall and lanky thing, with messy black hair and a matching black mustache. Most disturbingly, it was a human.
Grian simply could not allow that.
OR
Grian has hated humans for eons, and he wanted to smite Mumbo Jumbo the second that they met. The only reason he spares Mumbo is because Mumbo is one of Pearl's followers (and Pearl would not take kindly to Grian killing one of her own). Mumbo isn't like any other human, and Grian makes the decision to get to know him. It's only a matter of time before Grian falls for him, too.

Summary
Tango is just trying to make an honest living as a very respectable smuggler, sneaking contraband into the Hub. He's lived in the Hub for nearly his whole life, and he doesn't foresee that changing anytime soon.
Unfortunately, a new law is announced that will make it harder for non-humans, like Tango, to live safely in the Hub. While others try to leave the Hub, Tango decides to fake a human identity for the rest of his life. This is quickly derailed when he's tasked with sneaking a very lovable canary hybrid out of the Hub.

Summary
Jimmy has a hard time remembering things. He knows he wasn’t always this small. He knows he wasn’t always in a cage. He knows he used to have a family.
Jimmy lets out a small chirp.
He used to be louder, nosier, but he can’t muster the energy anymore. It’s too cold and dark down here, and there's been this strange smell that hurts Jimmy’s head and makes it hard for him to see straight.
Jimmy’s headache becomes more pronounced. He lets out another soft chirp, sagging against the metal bars of his cage. He tries to stay upright, but he loses his grip on his perch and falls down to the bottom of his cage.
He tries to turn his head, to let out some sort of warning for his Miner, but something feels too heavy and constricting on his lungs and he can’t make a sound.
When he focuses back up at the ceiling, he feels like he’s flying - soaring once more, without the restriction of his cage.
He’s flying, and everything goes dark.

Summary
Dating a vampire was not exactly like Grian had expected. He honestly thought it would have been sexier - not that Mumbo wasn’t sexy, of course - but Grian had kind of assumed that their relationship would always be sparkling with heated gazes, tongues running along lips, and the tantalizing exhilaration of twin fangs pressed delicately against Grian’s neck.
Mumbo was much softer and awkward than all the dark and dirty vampiric romance novels Grian had read. Mumbo always had some sort of poem or song that reminded him of Grian, millions of recipes that he knew Grian would love, and a beautiful garden in which he picked special bouquets everyday for Grian. Dating a vampire was nothing like Grian could have imagined - it was much, much better.
Of course, there were times that dating a vampire was not like Grian had expected because of reasons he never could have predicted. But this wasn’t always bad, and Grian wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Summary
Of all the colors, Mumbo misses red the most.
Red was Grian’s favorite color. Some days, he’ll catch himself staring longingly at a rose or an apple, trying desperately to remember how it felt to see red.
Back when the incident was still fresh and new, Mumbo would dream in color. Now, though, he dreams mostly in shades of gray. Sometimes he wakes up with the memory of blues, purples, greens, pinks fading from his mind. He’ll stare up at his dark roof and try to retain as much of it as he can, but in the end it bleeds away - like it did that day - and he’s back to his world of black and white.
In actuality, it’s not the lack of color that really bothers Mumbo. Sure, not being able to see color can make it difficult for him to redstone since he uses wool for pathways, but that’s something he can overcome.
What really bothers Mumbo is what the lack of color means.
It’s been a few years since the incident, and most days are fine - but really nothing can prepare someone for losing their soulmate.

Summary
Scott loved Jimmy, and he loved living together. For the most part, it was incredibly domestic. There was, however, one thing that really bothered Scott.
Jimmy left his messes everywhere. He wasn’t messy in the usual sense - he always made sure to wash his dishes and clean up after himself when he cooked or baked. The real issues came with Jimmy’s feathers.
Jimmy shed his feathers all the time. It had never been so bad before, even when Scott would preen Jimmy’s wings. He had no idea why he was suddenly finding small, yellow feathers in every nook and cranny. He’d flip over a pillow on the couch and reveal one or two, or he’d move a blanket and a few would flutter out, or - on one occasion - he would open the pantry and find a damn feather next to the bread. Scott could live with the feathers scattered around the house, but the ones in their bedroom were becoming particularly annoying. There were tons of feathers in their bed at every given moment.
It was really starting to get on Scott's nerves.

Summary
Grian - Grian tastes like summer, like honey and sun and melted chocolate on vanilla ice cream. Mumbo can’t help but melt into the kiss, eyes fluttering shut and heart pounding.
He feels Grian grin against his lips. The blond breaks away, only to pull Mumbo back in by his tie. Grian’s hands, quick and skilled, untie the knot on the tie and slide away the fabric in one quick motion. He throws it down - and Mumbo couldn’t care less because all he can think is Grian.
Grian fingers slip beneath Mumbo’s collar and begin fiddling with the buttons. Mumbo slides his hands up from Grian’s waist to his own shirt - helping Grian in unbuttoning the damn thing.
Grian moves back, a deliciously smug smirk on his lips. “How does skinny dipping sound now?”
“Pretty good.” Mumbo breathes.
Grian smirk grows. “Good answer.”

Mumbo is a spoon for many reasons. In general, he’s a spoon for just being a bumbling and confused man.
Specifically, he’s a spoon for not realizing sooner that Scar and Grian were together (he’d known they were close, but not this close).

It was a quiet night. Scott was thankful for it. He enjoyed his job, sure, but it was stressful. Even with his powers, Scott often found himself overwhelmed by run-of-the-mill criminals. Supervillains were a whole different story.
Scott’s thoughts paused when he heard a small scuffle from behind. He took a deep breath, steadying himself, then whirled around, Rune Blade outstretched.
“Come out.” He ordered. “I know you’re there.”
Slowly, a human came out from behind a bush. He was wearing an obnoxiously green and, frankly, shoddily made supersuit. In lieu of a mask, the human had a large, brown fish head on his head.
“Who are you?” Scott demanded.

Scott ends up having to train the newest member of the Superhero League - Solidarity. He doesn't like working with others, but there's something different about Jimmy.

fWhip also glances at Jimmy. He wants Jimmy to say ‘yes,’ to follow Gem and fWhip and stay with them so fWhip knows he’s safe, but it only takes one look to know that this won’t be the case.
“Lizzie said my empire’s dried up.” Jimmy says quietly. “I need to go check on my people.”
“We understand.” Gem says.
“I’ll see you in two days?” Jimmy asks.
“Yes, of course.” fWhip says hoarsely.
He’s hyper aware of Gem’s attention on the two of them, but he doesn’t care. He leans forward and kisses Jimmy quickly.
“Don’t die.”

fWhip must be sick - very, very sick - because there is absolutely no other reason why he would be attracted to Jimmy of all people.
Plus, there's a million practical reasons why fWhip shouldn't be attracted to him, including (but not limited to) the fact that Jimmy is a freaking fish and Scott would definitely murder fWhip if he knew about fWhip's stupid, little crush.
So, yeah. fWhip really needs to get over these dumb feelings he has for Jimmy.
