And Eddie?” Athena stopped just as she got to the door and turned him with a serious expression on her face. “There’s a witness.”
Her frown dipped under the professional mask she was known for and Eddie caught the flicker of concern pulling at her composure.
“You know him?”
Athena pressed her lips into a tight line and nodded.
“Evan Buckley. He’s the bartender here. He was helping Charlie restock tonight when he heard a noise and saw it happen.”
Homicide Detective, Eddie Diaz, is called in to investigate the murder of a local shield and ladder bar owner. There he meets his only witness, Evan "Buck" Buckley.

Tears pricked at the back of her eyeballs and she chewed on her bottom lip. She tried a smile, to let him know it was okay. He didn’t seem phased by her emotion, but she could see something in his eyes that looked like sympathy. If an 11 year old could really display that level of emotional maturity.

After Gerard’s defeat, no one is sure where they stand. Stiles is angry at Scott and doesn’t know why his head is suddenly filled with thoughts of Derek Hale. Derek doesn’t know why Scott’s betrayal isn’t as painful as the prospect of Stiles being in on it. As they ignore their developing feelings for each other, a freshly resurrected Peter Hale schemes to get them together. No one ever said he’d go easy on them, though. After all, where would be the fun in that?

Buck looked at him like he was crazy. “Where would I sleep?”
“Where are you sleeping here?” Eddie asked, not missing Buck’s guilty glance at the pillows and sheets piled on his couch that answered his question. “I guarantee you my couch is just as comfortable.”
Buck seemed to really consider it for the first time, jaw twitching as he weighed Eddie’s offer but then he shook his head sadly.
“You just feel bad for me, laid up and staying here alone.”
Eddie shrugged. “Is that a bad thing? Caring about you?”
