Summary
“Do you know what this is?” Tony says, loudly, holding the stick up for Harley to see. Harley jumps, dropping his spoon into his bowl of Lucky Charms. He turns to Tony and squints.
“A pregnancy test?”
“A pregnancy test! A positive pregnancy test!”
Harley blinks. “Well, congratulations, Dad. I didn’t know you had the organs to, y’know—“

Summary
Peter needs this.
This salvation. This one gateway into freedom. This thing keeping him from spiraling downwards and downwards into nothing.
Another fucked up thing is that somewhere, deep down, Peter knows that he’s already spiralled into nothing. He’s just taken a different route.

Summary
“Don’t keep the Star-Spangled Man with A Plan waiting, babe.”
Peter rolls his eyes.
Ten minutes later, Peter walks up to Steve, both of them bundled up beyond recognition to protect themselves from the biting New York cold. Spiders don’t thermoregulate, and Captain Americas don’t deal well with the cold after being frozen in the arctic for 67 years. Humid cold is the worst cold, and if Peter is wearing two hoodies, then that’s his business, thank you very much.
“So,” Peter says in lieu of greeting. “Pad Thai and then cheesecake?”

Summary
Peter wasn’t going to let May pay the rent all on her own. Not when there was two of them, not when being Spider-Man made everything that much harder.
And if that meant washing scratched up dishes and scrubbing old blood from the tile grout at Sister Margaret’s School for Wayward Girls, then so be it.
But then one night, his skin turned blue.
(If only his problems didn’t multiply from there.)

Summary
The biggest lies are usually the ones we tell ourselves, and Steve has been telling lots of lies, especially lately. That in spite of how he can’t stop chewing his fingernails bloody, the never ending nightmares chasing him out of bed, and the way merely seeing ice sends him into a panic, he’s fine.
But when his latest mission with The Avengers goes horribly wrong, Steve can no longer keep lying, not even to himself.
Diagnosed with PTSD and placed on medical leave, initially Steve is resentful, stubbornly refusing the idea there’s anything that can make it better. Until Sam suggests a Service Dog, and introduces him to James Buchanan Barnes, a fellow vet and trainer who swears one of his dogs can help, if only Steve can summon enough bravery to take a leap of faith and accept a four-legged companion in his life.
What follows is a long and winding journey of fear, doubt and self-recrimination. But also hope, acceptance and redefining what it means to be a hero, as Steve finally faces the issues that have been haunting him his entire life.
There is also a lot of fur, conversations with dogs, and a cross-country road trip, as Steve rebuilds his life and maybe, just maybe, falls in love along the way.

Summary
‘I’m sorry, sir,’ he said, and Maria looked a little appeased, though now she was gesturing for him to get off stage. And then he smiled real big and wide and sincere and said, ‘Guess I’m just real fuckin’ tired of everyone treating me like an idiot. To answer your question, ain’t a lot I really miss. Polio was pretty fuckin’ awful, and so was the food, and the racism and homophobia and hatred so many folks had for one another for dumb-as-shit differences was so goddamn stupid -’
Maria was suddenly on stage beside him, pulling his microphone away and grabbing his arm with a steel grip. Steve just leaned over to Nat’s mic with a shit-eating grin on his face and said, ‘Thank you so much for your time.’
Steve's tired of the world treating him like he doesn't know a damn thing about the future. Bucky's tired of not knowing a damn thing about the past.
They meet somewhere in the middle.

Summary
Loki is taken back to Asgard to face justice for his crimes against humanity, and Odin comes down hard on the marauding trickster. Thankfully, Thor still has a soft spot for his younger brother, and he's made a pitch to save Loki's skin that the King of the Nine Realms deems worthy.
Now all Thor has to do is convince Earth's Mightiest Heroes that his slightly psychotic, partially evil, definitely unstable brother can and should be rehabilitated on Earth while living in Avengers Tower. Easy, right?
