Summary
Billy tilts his head to the side like a confused puppy and furrows his eyebrows. His palm is white-hot through the thin material of Steve’s black shirt as Billy spreads his hand over the omega’s left pectoral, directly atop his racing heart. “Steve.”
The alpha points to himself and then raises those same eyebrows expectantly. Steve huffs out a quiet laugh and relaxes a bit. “I get it, I get it. You’re Billy and I’m Steve.”
This answer gets him a viciously happy growl and a smile bright enough to shame the sun. Steve can’t help but giggle again, this time incredulously.
“What kind of Miles O’Keeffe bullshit are you trying to pull here, jungle boy? Have you never heard of, like, normal pickup lines? You know, what’s an omega like you doing sobbing all alone on Halloween? How’s it going baby, nice ass?”

Billy flicks a disgusted look at the table in the far corner where Jonathan and Nancy are eating together. “Seriously? That’s better than having people know I whooped your ass?”
"I've faced down actual interdimensional monsters. After that, small town gossip really loses its threat."
"Sure, because it's better to be known as the loser that Byers tried to kill twice." Billy stares at Steve who has clearly lost his mind.
“Weirdly, I don’t hear you apologizing for nearly killing me,” Steve says pointedly.

When Steve received a slew of belligerent texts from one of his students' guardians, the best course of action would have been blocking them. Certainly, it wouldn't have been rewarding them by talking their little sister out of her impending expulsion.
And it wouldn’t have been continuing to answer texts from the guy, either. But Steve wasn't known for his sharp decision making skills—and he was kind of desperate for a friend who didn't make out with her girlfriend every time he came around. So maybe he could give this text-buddy thing a shot.
Unfortunately Billy was not just potential friend material. He was devastatingly hot, too. It was really, really inconvenient.

"Look at you."
"B-Billy?" Steve blinked glazed, green and gold eyes up at him sluggishly. "Help me."
"Don't you worry, Pretty kitty." Billy knelt in front of him and reached to cup Steve's chin. "I'm gonna take care of you."

For a whole holiday dinner, I’ll pretend I’m a drug dealer all night and then propose, and you can pretend to take me up on it, and anybody you introduce to your family for the rest of your life will look great.”
Steve’s mouth fell open, his brain flashing with images like somebody was out of control with a slideshow controller. “Holy shit.”

It's October 1984, and Demogorgons are still coming to Hawkins from the Upside Down, opening gates around Hawkins Lab. Every night, Steve patrols the woods, hoping to stop them before they kill anyone else.
Hawkins has had a hard year.
When the new guy that's been giving him shit in gym class is attacked by a Demogorgon, Steve saves his life. Now if only he would stop turning up in dangerous places in various states of injury... Because Demogorgons are attracted to blood.

Summary
1987 went to shit. Vecna brought on what may well be the apocalypse, and Steve fought it to the end. Literally.
Death was supposed to be a one-way street. But knowing a girl with super powers had a tendency to change the game. So when Steve opens his eyes to a beer-soaked bathroom on Halloween in 1984, Nancy calling him 'bullshit' all over again, the universe might forgive Steve for thinking he was either a) in Hell or b) going cracked. But Steve didn't have time to freakout. Not when El finds him and asks that he help her change the events of the future. Not when he's the only other person she managed to drag with her for chance number two.
OR: A time travel fix-it, where 1987 Steve is dropped back into his 1984 self. And now he has to deal with that plus the impending apocalypse on the horizon. But he'll be fine, right? Because, as El informs whoever asks, Steve's 'The Babysitter'. So he gets to work. He can cry later, when he's done.

Summary
Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
Aka a hellfire adopts Steve fic, because give the boy some friends (and a boyfriend).
