“Love, are you coming to bed? I’m getting cold,” Charlie gently puts his hands on Nick’s cheeks just for Nick’s eyes to widen and for him to go stumbling back into the wall.
“Listen, I’m sure you’re lovely, but I have a boyfriend,” Nick says, eyes glossy and very obviously unable to focus on Charlie in front of him, but he says it with such conviction that it stops Charlie in his tracks for a moment.
Surely he didn’t hear that right. “You…have a boyfriend?”
AKA The one where Nick is drunk, in love, and just a little bit horny for his boyfriend. Oh and he refuses to get into a stranger’s bed and cheat on his boyfriend…with his boyfriend.

Summary
14 years later, half his entire life so far, Charlie was pretty sure that Nick was really going to be his one and only, his soulmate.
They were still so ridiculously in love, just about all of the time. Everyone seemed to be waiting for the honeymoon teenager phase to end, but it never felt like it did. They still kissed in stupid risky places, needed to be near each other all the time, always making sure to constantly stay in each other’s orbits.
Even for two people who spent the last 5 years living together, the romance and happiness of it all had yet to actually wear off. Knowing he was going home with Nick tonight, still made him blush a bright shade of red, excitement running through him at the prospect of sleeping next to the man he loved more than anyone else.
(Or, things are great between Charlie & Nick until something from Charlie’s past rears its ugly head and brings up a lot of other long buried things with it.)

Summary
