“Is this what the Tsaritsa pay you for?” he asks, harshly, as his eyes trail over the curve of his neck and the slop of his shoulders, down to his narrow waist.
Childe’s eyes burn with intensity as he leans in to whisper into his ear, letting his breath puff against Wriothesley’s flushed skin. “As I said, I’m not here for a job. You can consider me on vacation, if anything. So, Mr. Wriothesley… care to keep me company?”
The proposition is so crystal clear to him that the idea of Childe passing the night flirting with any man and woman he’s talked to urges him to teach this brat a lesson. He doesn’t indulge on the fantasy of what Neuvillette might have told Childe, nor on the laughs and touches they shared.
