As long as he can keep his magic hidden, stop pissing off his pretentious first mate, and navigate the politics on deck, it should be a simple voyage.
(Or, the Treasure Planet x Merlin crossover of my 13-year-old dreams. Merlin is a convict, tech prodigy, and secret wizard. Arthur is a perfectionist, sailor aficionado, and secret prince. Ships carry a sort of intrinsic magic from the old days while being outfitted with the technology of the new days. Gwaine is a slut.)
