Technoblade isn't used to being alone.
After years living in close quarters with his Pack, with his twin one door down and his parents across the hall, the quiet of his new territory is noticeable, and sometimes distracting. Living in a cabin tucked away at the top of a mountain, with only a dirt road connecting him to the only civilization for miles and miles, he's learning to strike out on his own and make a name for himself.
A tiny Wolf Pup left alone during a massive blizzard throws all of his expectations and plans out the window.

thundersnow (noun): A violent storm of thunder and lightning that is accompanied by snow instead of rain.
Scattered across the world, four strangers fall into slumber. In a plush bed fit for royalty adorned with heavy velvet bedclothes. In a threadbare cot tucked into the back of a rickety inn. In a bower draped in vines and blooms of many colors. In a small, sturdy, oak frame bed built by careful hands. They drift in the quiet gloom that lays over the dreaming world. Shadowed forms flicker and dance just out of sight, familiar and strange in equal measure. Whispers float through the air, urgent and frantic. They forget what was said just as it fades.
They wake to sunlight streaming through unfamiliar trees.
Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall.
West, South, North, East.
The Four Winds have lived in relative harmony for millennia, content to let one another pass by and exist alone as they always have. In theory you can try to stop it, try to keep the weight of the water contained, using dam and dike and levee and lock, but in practice you can really only redirect the stream. When he decides to steal the Manberg Emerald from the Museum of Natural History, he thinks it'll finally show the world who the top dog really is.
