Summary
The plan was simple: get in, steal the mayor’s cat, and then ransom said cat back to him for an absurd sum of cash.
Or, that was what was how it was supposed to go. After stealing Jellie out of the esteemed mayor of Aquatown's apartment, Grian finds himself overcome with guilt from his actions. He had stolen many things from many, many people in his life, but a cat? It was too far, even for him. In which Grian sets out to return what he stole, and he stumbles into more than he bargained for in doing so.

Summary
Grian knew he wasn’t human. Perhaps he was a bit late to knowing, but that didn’t take away from the fact that he expected this! So maybe it took another non-human to point it out, and maybe that was far later in his life than it should have been, but he knew. That was what mattered, wasn’t it?
Of course, he hadn’t had to face his peculiarities so directly before. This was perhaps not something that he could ignore. Really, how could he ignore the limbs bursting out of his skin?!
(or Grian is a Watcher who thought he was human, and Scar is there to help him through a very very painful transformation)

for lack of a better word this one was phenomenal. great characterization, great wrap up to a great series, genuinely EXACTLY what i wanted to read after finishing portal 2. the torture from the first part of the series was a lot (reminder for rereading) but it was excellently written and very in character, leading up to this very satisfying ending. overall im obsessed with the exploration of the characters and how they heal (and how they dont), and seeing their turmoil fade as they grow is so great. 10/10 will read again
