Summary
Bond rolls forward, although his usual liquidly graceful movements are stiff from his injuries. Q doesn’t startle, too used to Bond’s antics over months of travelling together, although his breath does hitch when Bond sweeps his fingers under Q's glasses, brushing lightly against the dark bruises Q knows are still there.
"Think of this as a vacation,” Bond says. “You haven't stopped at all since we left London."
"A vacation," Q says incredulously. "With the scorching sun and questionable water and unreliable food supplies and a heightened chance of tropical water-borne diseases, and all my equipment sunk in the ocean."
“With the briny air and an abundance of wild and sea life and limitless possibilities," Bond counters, "without alerts or surveillance or the need to stare at a glowing screen for hours on end.”
(Post-Spectre mission fic, where the mission is to survive being stranded on a desert island, and shutting down Spectre's operations is a critical but secondary objective reserved for after they get off the island.
But when did MI6's missions ever run according to plan?)

Summary
Q never had a high tolerance for alcohol, but didn't stop him from going to a bar with Miss Moneypenny after work so he could try to drown his sorrows. And really, complaining about Bond and nitpicking his missions could be his new hobby, even though the blasted man supposedly retired with Miss Swann.

Summary
James Bond is MI6's pinnacle of human achievement. He's charming, irresistible, good at what he does, and hot...
Q is totally not going to admit that he just said that out loud.-
James Bond and Q have an interesting working relationship. However, when an urgent mission throws Q into the field alongside 007, their dynamic changes into something neither of them would have imagined.

Summary
If Q hadn’t been pressing his left hand to the wound in his side in an attempt to stem the blood that was still flowing freely he would have been tempted to give Denbigh a little wave. Instead he settled for what he hoped was a convincing smile as he tapped the last of the code that would render the Nine Eyes network obsolete.
Bringing down Nine Eyes would be a lot easier without a gunshot wound.

Summary
There’s no time to grab anything to defend himself with, because the first hinge on the door snaps open with a bang, and the second follows on the next hit. The door rips backwards, thrown to the floor by the same man Q had been in the ski lift with, who smiles menacingly and draws a knife from his jacket. The Quartermaster wonders how long it will take for James to realise he’s missing.
Before the henchman even gets in his first hit, Q knows it’ll be too late.

“But why water,” Q asks, voice weaker than he would like it to be, brows furrowed. James shrugs.
“Perhaps because the headquarters are now beneath the Thames?”
A simple physical assessment turns into something a little less simple.

Summary
""Q!"
The closest yet. Q tilted his head towards the source, the weight of his eyelids still an obstacle to the innumerable amounts of fatigue beckoning him with every slow movement. But he was swiftly helped along by a narrow, blunt finger pulling his brow and flooding white-bright light into his eyes. He squinted as the illuminated blob of 007 met his foggy gaze, eyes piercing through the snow-filtered sunlight."
Or, Bond rescues an injured Q post-abduction.

Summary
It has to be an inside job. It has to be. Q can think of no other way that four MI6 workers can get in the same car, on their way to the same place, in total secrecy, and then just disappear. It’s too perfectly planned, too perfectly executed....

Summary
“Colloquialism, I assure you, however I doubt it is the same for everyone else.” Q corrected himself, his voice calm with the slightest touch of something under it. What was so wrong with Q feeling tired? The man never slept, he had every right to be tired. Every time James went out in the field, night or day, Q was in his ear. Sometimes for days at a time. The man seemingly never slept, why did M question if he was tired? The man was probably exhausted.

Summary
Q can’t remember the mission, the objective, or any of the circumstances regarding the room he woke up in, but if the copious amounts of pain and the sounds of Bond throwing bodies like frisbees on the other end of his radio are any indication, then it can’t be anything worse than the usual misfortune.
