    The Forgotten Ones weren't always... well, forgotten. The stories were likely partially true, the tales of cruelty and hiding in the darkness. They were everything they shouldn't have been - those who caused terror, pain, despair. The woman the world would eventually know as Inquisitor Lavellan was, in fact, a Forgotten One. Somehow Isathe was not imprisoned by the Dread Wolf in the abyss with the rest of them. Whatever the reason, the former spirit of Curiosity coaxed into physical form was stuck in the aftermath of that event. She felt the moment the Veil was created and pulled her even farther from her home. Then she slept. Slept for thousands of years until she woke in a world where elves were no longer what they had been. She had to find a way to stay alive and adjust to the world that formed from the Betrayal so long ago.

    Isathe was an ancient elf, a member of the Forgotten Ones and awakened years before the Breach before being pulled into the Inquisition. Hiding herself from the prying eyes of those who would condemn her for her past, the wolf that haunts her dreams and the unsettling gaze of the apostate elf who appeared to know more than he let on.

    She’s in Haven. 9:41 Dragon. She traveled through space and time, arriving not at Arlathan before Solas’s ritual, but at the Ferelden Conclave, just to be blown up, hurtled back into the Fade she’d so recently escaped from and then out again, now marked by god magic.

    Fuck.

    When Rook discovers that time travel exists - and her friend Dorian helped pioneer it - she begs him for a favor: send her back to the moment of Solas's botched ritual in Arlathan so she might save her mentor and friend, Varric, from Fen'Harel's knife. Dorian sends her back, all right - eleven years back, to the moment everything went to hell and the Herald of Andraste was born.
