How does Hector go from feeling utterly betrayed by the conniving vampire Queen Lenore, to falling in love with her? How does Lenore redeem herself in Hector's eyes and convince him it was all for the best? Well, let me show you.
This work is designed to bridge the gap between season 3, which ended with Lenore betraying Hector, and the beginning of season 4, which shows them on friendly and even romantic terms.
There will also be an alternate ending in case you reject S4. It will lead into another AU for me to build ;)

Summary
Hoping to find magic books that will help him out of his situation, Hector stumbles on some interesting books while looking around Lenore’s study in the daytime. As he reads them and spends time with Lenore he begins to reexamine his perspective of Lenore and the situation he's in.
Originally started for Lenector Weekend 2021 Day 2 Books/Turning, but it's been so long now it also qualifies for Lenector Week 2021 - Day 1 Potions & Spells.
Note: Chapters 1 - 7 of this fic are rated M, but there's explicit sex in chapter 8. More specific warnings related to that are in the chapter 8 notes.

As Hector settles into his new position with the slave ring, winter snow settles around the Styrian castle. Lenore knows something's up with her Pet. She's determined to find out what he's hiding and to make him happy again. She gives him an astounding gift and tells him a tale that might just unlock his heart.
A crossover with Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991), with a retelling of the original fairytale à la Lenector (more details in notes).
