When Bruno rescues Trish and tries to help the starving dhampir by sharing some of his blood, Trish's supernatural powers reveal an aspect of Bruno's vampiric transformation that he hoped would never come to light. Afterward, Bruno and Trish attempt to sate their thirst for blood at a local hospital, where they meet an unlikely ally who notices something about the odd pair.

Bruno Bucciarati and Leone Abbacchio are given a mission by a distressed mother. This mission hits too close to home for Fugo, who has been tasked with staying behind with Narancia. However, as he and Narancia find out, a sleepover with a best friend does not sweet dreams make—nor will it stop his past from haunting him.
