Summary
The most notable detail of Neal’s had to be his eyes, Peter thought.
His bright and yellow eyes. Such an unnatural color, but so Neal at the same time that he couldn’t really imagine the man with anything else.
And with it, came any other oddities that made him seem so otherworldly, as if he wasn’t a human (but that was stupid, wasn’t it?).
How his veins looked darker in nature against his pale skin, skin of which seemed tanner in the sun, or how some of the agents would reference something in popular media– something that surely would’ve caught his attention, wouldn’t.
Especially when Neal would get distracted, he’d sometimes respond with noises and clicking sounds reminiscent of a bird (he’d never have gotten it if not for El), or he’d mimic what other people did with a tilt of his head, as if constantly curious about the world around him yet trying to fit in.
It didn’t fit the idea of Neal that he’d had.

Summary
Tim had been undercover as Neal Caffrey. It worked out well, because it meant he could get off the radar of Ra’s, so spending a long time undercover in a role that he likely wouldn’t take (not to brag, but if as a kid Batman didn’t notice him, then how could law enforcement?) was a nice breath of fresh air.
It was a little tiring of course, but enjoyable.
However, the whole point of going undercover like this was to weed out the corrupt in the FBI. The downside was that he was in the White Collar branch, and unless the branches worked together on a case, then he’d have no actual reason to hang out with them, especially when the others tended to be.. rude towards him.
Luckily for him, Neal was needed for his knowledge on another case, which inadvertently meant that the White Collar branch would be on it as well. Technically.

Soulmate AU - only one half of the soulmate dyad will ever know who their soulmate actually is, as a soul mark only appears once one soulmate partner dies. If one's soulmate died in an unnatural and violent way, the soul mark manifests as scars that match the pattern of wounds on the other's body.
Jason Todd learned that he cheated that system the first time he saw Roy Harper after returning to Gotham. They keep it secret, though, because for the general population (Or Bruce or Oliver, honestly) to know was a major vulnerability. And, when the Outlaws go their own ways, Jason goes to become Neal Caffrey.
And then, one day, Jason wakes up with soul marks of his own.
