Day 4 (09/02) - Masquerade
Then, a familiar, infuriating presence materialized at his elbow. Dream.
Even amidst the glittering throng, he drew the eye. His mask was a masterpiece of emerald and silver, shaped like elegant, curling leaves that framed eyes the unsettling green of deep forest moss – eyes currently narrowed in Techno’s direction. He was draped in a perfectly cut suit the colour of new growth, impossibly slender next to Techno’s broad frame.
Impossibly pretty, Techno thought, the observation hitting him with the unwelcome force of a physical blow. He hated how it made his chest tighten.

Summary
The were the fuck-ups, the outlaws, the kids who society didn’t want anymore. Dream himself had been running from his notoriously cruel father ever since he'd escaped with his little brother, Tommy. Four years on the run, four years with Tommy being under Coach Philza's care, four years of escaping death at every turn.
So yeah, the Essempi Dragons weren't the mentally stable. But that never stopped his team from being one of the best Exy teams in the country. Alongside the Antarctic Ravens, of course.
And it all came back to Technoblade.

Day 7 (09/05) - Tending to each other
He saw it instantly – the flinch. A flicker of pure, unguarded pain that fractured the stormy green eyes before Dream could rebuild the walls.
It was the look Ranboo had worn during their worst arguments, magnified a thousandfold on the face of the man who had once been his everything.
The sight was a physical blow, driving the air from Techno’s lungs. The fury evaporated, replaced by a crushing wave of guilt and regret so potent it stole his voice. He looked away, unable to bear it, his grip on the medkit loosening.
Or: Standing amidst the suffocating silence of his snowbound cabin, the gunpowder scent of their shared victory still clinging to them, Technoblade realized with a devastating ache that Dream tending his wounds—with hands both familiar and agonizingly missed—wasn't about the ended alliance, but the terrifying, beautiful truth that the love which had shattered their family and fueled L'Manberg's ruin had never truly died.

Dream knew this ancient story by heart. His mother Puffy had whispered it to him on nights when his own heart felt too big for his small body, when the world seemed too vast and lonely.
She would trace constellations on his back with her fingertips as she spoke of Helios' golden chariot and Selene's silver veil.
Or: Dream loves eclipses so much; it just so happens that Techno is with him.

He's fighting on the side of yet another uprising, just to aid those who are weak against a tyrant that's grown too strong. And at the end of each day, he does not join the camps of resting soldiers. Techno walks to a clearing in the woods instead, too tired to take care of bleeding wounds.
The helping hand of one masked intruder is impossible to refuse. Nor does he want to chase Dream away, really. He'd rather do the very opposite.
or: Dream needs some wounds bandaged, and then offers to do the same. How this leads to making out in the woods isn't much of a mystery.

Day 3 (09/01) - Secret Identity
Every glance from Techno sent a fresh wave of confusion and aching sadness crashing over him.
Why didn’t you tell me? The question screamed silently in his mind. Did you know? Do you remember? Is that why you spared me at Doomsday? Because I was... yours?
The thought of Techno, the fearsome Blade, holding him as a child, teaching him, loving him, was overwhelming. It changed everything. And yet, it explained so much.
But the other figure... the one his heart instinctively called 'Mama'... the green hoodie, the blond hair... the contradiction. Dream. Cruel, manipulative Dream, who treated people like pawns.
The man in his memory radiated pure, protective love. They couldn't be the same.
They couldn't.
