    Noodles, they were tender, soft even when cooked properly. Could be broken apart with a small amount of pressure, teeth weren’t even a necessity to achieve such a feat.

    The first serving left a sour taste in Rui’s mouth, but it was long gone. There wasn’t even a clue to what had caused it, the flavour being near forgotten.

    The second serving was bittersweet, as though there was sugar atop the noodles. The bitterness still came first; sugar didn’t belong on noodles anyways.

    The third serving was almost enjoyable, if Rui lied. It was still disgusting.
