Summary
In response to the aggressive actions of the Throughgate Empire, King Alderein promises the hand of his niece to their second prince in return for a peaceful alliance. Lady Katherine Blossom isn't exactly thrilled to be married off to Prince Cathor, but is willing to do her duty to the Overgrown. Yet when she arrives at Troughgate, she can immediately see chaos it is in. The empire is riddled with poverty and crime, while its upper class sit in luxury and ignore the issues beneath their feet. However, Katherine also soon finds herself becoming fascinated by the Wolf Spirit, a mysterious vigilante who seems to be the people's sole defender. The longer she stays, the more Katherine longs to leave Cathor to join the Wolf Spirit. Yet, as Katherine dives deeper into the truth below Throughgate's rich facade, she will have to make a choice between peace, and what is right.
