Summary
Life for Dean Winchester of the small village of Merdale had been boring. He ran a inn with his brother Sam and his surrogate father Bobby, he worked in the fields for extra coin, he played pranks on the people in town. He thirsted to go on an adventure like the many Sorcerers and Mercenaries that passed through Merdale on the way to more exciting lands.
All of that changes however at the arrival of a hooded sorcerer to their inn, demanding a squire and a horse. As Dean takes on the role of squire to The Great Sorcerer Castiel, he realises that his humble life will never be the same again as he is flung into a world of war, dragons, destiny and magic that he'd only seen from afar before.

A magical world where Magic exists and cam be harnesed by witches and warlocks. Although rare, dragons are said to exist. Kingdoms, glittering and powerful, rule small empires of humble townsfolk.
Dean is around 25 years old, Castiel about 30, Sam is around 17 and Bobby is about 50. Gabriel 32, Balthzar 35 and Anna 23.

“What are we here for again?” He asked, grinning at a passing man who looked like he concealed a weapon.
Arthur let out a quick sigh of irritation. “If I tell you, will you promise not to act like an idiot?”
Gilbert scratched the back of his neck, looking at the building. It didn’t have any windows, but other than that, it seemed like any other storage building by the sea. Gilbert liked the sea, like the energy the salt threw into the air. Any place this close to nature produced magic naturally.
“Depends.” Arthur shot him a look, and Gilbert couldn’t keep the grin off of his face. “Well, I mean, how exciting can it be? Usually you drag me out to some forest or cave. This is hardly a castle.”
“A dragon.”

When disaster strikes their hometown, Eren and Mikasa are forced to flee, unable to find refuge in the neighbouring kingdoms who discriminate against shapeshifters like Mikasa. In Iwatobi there had been a time long ago when the residents had had magic. They were granted the ability to Conjure by the ocean goddess and had worked in pairs to create a prosperous port city. Some counted this as history and some as myth, but in modern day their magic had weakened so that they could no longer Conjure. Instead, some people had a surplus of magical energy and some had a lack. These people had to pair together to balance each other and create “pairs” like in the legend.
Magical compatibility bonds Makoto and Haru together from an early age, but Makoto thinks that Haru's classmate - Rin - sure is cute.
