“Hello, detective,” He began, “I am Hank, the Android sent by CyberLife.”

One day, their captain separates them and pairs them up with an Android each; although a new case means they have to work together again to find a kidnapped child, and maybe accidentally start a revolution in the process…

Gavin stood beside the chair next to Nines’ desk with his arms linked behind his back. He was still dressed in his CyberLife issued cop uniform; a high collared blue and black top with his model number and blue triangle on the front and blue band around his upper arm, with matching black trousers and comfortable shoes. His LED was glowing the same shade of blue as the digital parts of his uniform, and the shimmering white of the scar over his nose was still there.

But as he learns all the horrors the boy has to go through at the hands of his mother, he will feel things he was never meant to feel.

Summary
HK800, designated 'Hank', has been assigned to the ambitious lieutenant Connor Stern so that they might address the string of deviancy cases that grow in number by the hour. Despite the lieutenant's insistence that he work alone, that he has no need for a partner, the two of them are thrown together to solve the cases and to stop the rising number of rebelling androids.
But, unbeknownst to them, the two of them share a history hidden by years of wiped memory data, well suppressed secrets and a rebellious nature that binds them together tighter than the bond of blood.
Working together will prove to be a trial forged in fire, but within it, they may find more than just a solve to this case. Perhaps, they may find something that will just make their lives worth living.-

A reverse-au where androids are humans and humans are androids, set on the University of Michigan campus. Connor and Richard - aka Nines - Anderson, twin brothers and both sophomores at the college, are about to have their worlds turned upside down when two new androids enter their lives.
Connor finds himself under the constant watchful eye of an HK-700 caretaker model android, specially designed by Chloe Kamski and his father, David, in order to steer him - as everyone around him always seems to be putting it - 'in the right direction.' A response to his growing list of destructive habits, the HK has been sent to monitor Connor's every move. Will he learn to appreciate it's guidance, or turn inward even further at the notion of somebody - or something - caring about him?
Nines, working himself to the bone every day and night, has a chance encounter with a GV-200 model patrol android that he can't seem to stop running into, and he can't help but notice how more and more human the thing seems to act the more they meet. Will he report these suggestions of deviancy, or befriend - or more - the gangly android monitoring the streets outside of his apartment?

It would be convenient if he could point to one thing in his life that caused this, but in the end, it’s all on him. He’s the one who chose to put a blade to his skin. His parents hurt him with words and resentment, and he went through a string of boyfriends who hurt him with more. Red ice numbed everything after he dropped out of high school, but after he quit that, he didn’t have anything better to fall back on. Legal and illicit drugs, cutting, sex with strangers who treated him like shit.
“Look.” Connor pokes Hank’s chest. “I don’t need your help. I’ve gotten along thirty-five years without it. I don’t want help from some android I barely know, and before you suggest it, I don’t need therapy, either. I’m having a bad day and that’s it.”
