Everything played out perfectly; Anon supported Fang and watched her blossom into the person he always knew she could be. Now, it was his turn to make a decision and stick with it.
So, Anon chooses to join the Army instead of college. Five years away from Fang or three? It all seemed so obvious, but in his final year, Anon suffered a traumatic combat injury.
Months later, he's home, and now, he has to learn to live as a civilian in a world where his friends and family are living the best lives they can.
He feels like a foreigner in his own country, and as he watches everyone move on. Anon starts to wonder. Is he just a burden to the woman he loves?
The war is not over, and the more he stays in Volcadera, the more he feels he never left the war. Maybe, in the end, he belonged on the battlefield.
Maybe he shouldn't have left the Army after all...-

After graduating Volcano High, Anon and Fang spend time together at the apartment in Skin Row. The young man is a much more aspirational person than he used to be months ago, and he feels pressured to find a college much earlier on before the year ends. His pterosaur girlfriend, on the other hand, reassures him that he doesn't need to pressure himself too much, and that they still have all the time to prepare. So instead, Fang wants Anon to open up his interests with her as a way to spend time. But as they continue on with the rest of the day, the white and silver pterosaur decides that perhaps, they should finally consummate their relationship now that they've broken so much barriers together.
