Summary
Sokka has been hated and abused his whole life for being a firebender, so when the Fire Nation comes to abduct him, it turns out to be a blessing. Everything changes when he meets Azula. Befriending the damaged princess, Sokka will learn that his new home is not nearly as perfect as it seems.
Meanwhile, Azula has never forgotten seeing her brother Zuko get murdered by their own father. Ever since, she has done everything she could to survive, even if she hates herself for who she's become. Befriending Sokka sets her on a new path, but will she continue to obey her father, or choose to make a stand against the war?
Everyone believes Zuko is dead. Little do they know he lives, trapped in a Fire Nation prison camp. There, he will discover the true cruelty of the war and suffer in ways he never imagined. When he finally returns to the Fire Nation palace, he will have to decide whether to enjoy happiness with the people he loves, or risk everything for a chance at stopping the hundred year war.
Sokka, Azula, and Zuko have all suffered terribly, but by finding strength in each other, they have a chance at ending the war and bringing peace to the world- if only they have the courage to try.

Azula doesn't feel love”
That's what everyone says. And it's all she likes to show. And maybe that's not a bad thing, considering the first supposedly safe thing she ever loved turned her into a weapon - hiding a scarred little girl underneath layers of cold, unfeeling steel made for violence, fire nation nationalism and Ozai's inflated ego. But her father never paid enough attention to realise she's a pubescent girl. And love is kinda what they do. Love through coersion with a general that still gives her nightmares. Love for people that she can't show.But for Tai Lee it's different. Oh so, so, different. It's sick. But she feels safe. Safe and the one she want to protect and love despite it being the only thing absolutely anyone prohibits. But that can't stop her stubborn soul, the same one who has found herself taking Tai Lee on a date.
A story of c-ptsd, internal suffering and as madds Buckley said and azula thought "my love is sick".

Summary
The chains on her wrist were tight, the coldness in the cell that held her was extreme. Her hair is messy and frizzy due to lack of proper hygiene. Azula sits on the cold floor of her cell, extremely exhausted and drained.
Her head was down limp as she had no energy to lift herself up. Not only has she had no sleep, but the food there was stale and gross. She was once a princess, one that struck fear into those around her. Now look at her, she looked so pathetic and weak.
