Her warm hands took hold of your wrists, pulling them towards her as your body followed her direction. You almost flew into her chest but she moved ahead of you, dragging you into the middle of the room. You let out a surprised gasp at her sudden action but hesitantly followed her steps.
"Jessie?" You called out to her over the blasting music, hoping to hear an explanation of her hasty actions. "You'll see!" She let go of your wrist as she bent over, her face meeting yours as she stuck her index finger pointed upwards with a teasing wink.
From the corner of your eye, you witnessed Cloud sighing, and letting himself get dragged into the middle of the room by his childhood friend. He was pushed towards you, stumbling slightly before standing upright once again. He was standing next to you now, an arm coming up to scratch the back of his neck awkwardly. The gang roars in excitement as they begin pointing upwards.
Your eyes slowly travel upwards, a mistletoe was lazily hung up. Your eyes instantly widened at the sight and your heart dropped, it felt as if you were suddenly hyperaware of all of your senses.
Both you and Cloud were... standing under a mistletoe.

With love and adoration, so deep its almost painful, doubly so when Cloud is before him, vulnerable and uncertain. Questioning himself. Zack wants to rip himself apart at the seams rather than keep all this locked up inside his heart. Zack has to tell him. Sooner or later, he’s just going to blurt it out at the worst moment, spill his secret in a way that embarrasses Cloud, mortifies them both something terrible and awful.

A spike of adrenaline clamped around his spine and he crossed his arms, unsure how to explain the sharp exposure the world just focused into like a sniper scope.
