Stories have been told all around Night City about the lucky folk born with nine lives, but they aren't quite well known nor do the said folk know they have nine lives off the get go. It takes one death and for them to come back to realize that they have nine lives, but nobody is fearless enough to try dying in order to see if they have nine lives, because if you don't come back, you just wasted your life for nothing. So, the people of Night City began believing these nine lived folk are instead just myths, imaginary even.
Mizu, a Corpo, used to have it all, but after several events, she became The Onryō, an infamously feared mercenary. She found herself stuck with the engram of Johnny Silverhand and is forced to ask for help which she's not used to. She didn't fear death before, but now? She fears it and wishes to outrun it, but we all know that's an impossible task.

Lucy and Rebecca spend some time messing around with the braindance, but Lucy decides that it would be a lot more interesting and fun if she were to tamper with Rebecca's braindance just a little bit to convince her that gorging herself on all of the food that she could possibly ever want would be a real 'cool' thing to do. She soon grows to be much, much wider than anyone could have expected.
