Toren splits up from eragon and brom before they confront the razac and heads to dras leona instead. Toren knew that brom was a dragon rider, and brom knows he knows, but eragon doesn’t know yet. Neither brom nor eragon know that Toren is Murtagh’s foster brother. Toren has a magical link to Saphira and, through her, eragon. Toren what there when eragon found the egg and when the magical explosion happened, Toren ended up with a scar on his leg that reacts when saphira or eragon does magic, and a mental link where he can share thoughts and emotions with them. The link is stronger when they’re closer together.

In the years of prosperity for the Dragon Riders, there was a people who allied themselves with the Alagaesian Rider's Order. Hailing from the far north, where is snows nine months of the year and hails the other three were the Nordics.
To Alagaesians, however, they were once called the Vikings.
Nordics had their own Dragon Riding Order, made u of hundreds if not thousands of dragon species each with an advantage of their own unique make against the Alagaesians. To keep the peace between the many species of dragons and the people of Alagaesia, they formed an alliance with Vrael and his Order, and thus it stood to reason that Galbatorix would kill them as well if they refused to join his cause. However, there was a mistake he had made- one Viking woman had escaped from the slaughter and went into hiding, birthing a daughter years later in a small mountain village, Carvahall.
This daughter is the rightful heir to the Nordic Rider Order.

Summary
For the Dragonborn, it's just another quest he's sent on when Akatosh asks him to go liberate Alagaësia and protect the local dragons. For Odahviing, it means babysitting the dragon slayer and making sure he doesn't make any more deals with Daedric Princes and thus taint his soul any further. For Eragon, meeting the duo means hope and gaining powerful allies in the fight against Galbatorix. Saphira is looking at Odahviing and wondering what their eggs would look like. Brom is worrying that this supposed dragon god might've sent them a monster worse than Galbatorix.
And Murtagh gets to live out his supressed sexuality in what is either a very healthy or very toxic realationship. He's not quite sure which one but he finds riding an undead horse and setting people on fire with his sword feels quite therapeutic. - Explicit version-

So, what if it were a really good story? Like, really, really good? What would happen if the story were revised by some random person on the internet in an attempt to give it the lifeblood of a reworked plot, a more consistent tone, more in-depth characterization, a less-Monomyth-reliant story structure, and a more smooth integration of the lore into the story?
Let us take a journey into a revised Alagaesia. Let us follow the steps of Eragon the Shadeslayer with a renewed moral compass and reconstructed character arc. Let us see villains now as compelling as the heroes who are fighting them. Let us fix Alagaesia together.

Summary
